Dr. Meggan and the caring team at Growing Smiles know just how important it is for you to choose the right pediatric dental office for your child. Our Grand Rapids pediatric dentist strives to exceed your expectations for all of your child’s dental needs. We take pride in the high standard of dental care we provide for infants, children, teens and patients with special needs — in a friendly and safe environment created just for them!

At Growing Smiles, we plant the right seeds early on and with regular tender care, we watch your child’s smile grow into a healthy one!

Your child’s experience begins when they enter our cozy entertainment area complete with a life-size rowboat and sunny beach theme — complete with tablet games and a television showing all their favorite cartoon movies. They won’t mind coming back for treatment when they see the same movie playing overhead when they are in the dental chair!

Our team is trained in using kid-friendly terminology to lead your child through the dental experience. We show them where their cavity bugs are hiding with our sleek intraoral camera and digital films, when appropriate, which allow for the lowest exposure! We will work with your child individually to help them understand the importance of good oral health — and the steps they can take at home to keep their smiles beautiful and healthy for a lifetime. Our Cavity Free Club supports good habits and each month a different child will win a prize and get their picture on our website!

Parents are welcome to accompany their child for exams, especially for little ones under 3 years old! At Growing Smiles, we pride ourselves in maintaining the safest environment and that starts with your child learning to focus on our directions. Dr. Meggan believes that most children listen better if they hear directions from one person. Therefore, she welcomes you to accompany your child during dental exams as a silent partner — and she will share all of her findings with you after the examination is complete.

We promise to speak candidly with you about your child’s dental health and treatment, and we always encourage you to ask questions. If Dr. Meggan feels your child will benefit from your presence during a restorative visit she may ask that you accompany your child during these times as well. Parents can also enjoy a complimentary beverage and Wi-Fi in our entertainment area while waiting!
