Love it here. The management crew of the park have always been friendly and helpful. As we are new to RV camping, we needed some guidance now and then. Crystal and the gang are always ready to give us advice. We appreciated that so much as being a newbie can sometimes be intimidating and embarrassing poo mountain--lol. Seen a lot of negative posts about rules. We are all for these rules. Keeps everyone safe, the grounds clean and a family friendly atmosphere. The views of the river are awesome, great swimming/fishing, nice beaches. Close to the U.S., stores etc. The water is great for little children and adults alike. We've got our new spot for next year and already looking forward to it! Jan and Bernard
We are now starting our second season as seasonal campers. My family and I love being here. We get away from the city and stay at our camper here at Grenville Park as often as possible. The staff are easy to get along with, make great decisions for the park and the campers and are really nice people to deal with. They do more than they need to for us as a community of campers. They have a long seasonal waiting list and still put on great shows/entertainment throughout the year for everyone. The park itself is well kept and improvements are always ongoing. Thanks! From Chris & Family.
We love it there.Beautiful park, location, large lots, and very quiet.Staff is so friendly and helpful. We would never go anywhere else now that we have found this place. We look forward to our holidays every year just to go there, get Way and relax.pService: 5/5
Pretty spot on the water but as far as campgrounds it is a little lacking. Many seasonal sites and transient sites are only two service. Stay for a few nights and you will have to pull up stakes to unload tanks unless you have a portable sewage tank to make the trip to the dump station. An annoying and steady stream of golf takes away from the peacefulness of the stay. The front gate has access control requiring a prox card for which you put down a $20 deposit. That is returned on departure, however there is nobody in the office until 10AM so if you are looking for an early departure, you could be out of luck. Overall a nice park but the list of cons is too long to make us want to go back.
I have to give a shout-out to Grenville campground for being so amazing for our group coming in on Thursday to Sunday morning. I didn’t know how having a wedding dinner and family get together at a campground would go, but it went off amazing, so much help and understanding from the campground. All of us all want to go back for another weekend!!!
We love camping at Grenville park. Staff are very friendly and what a beautiful view from our site! Amazing fireworks today for Canada Day!
We just arrived home from our trip to Grenville Park and I had to leave a review to say how much we enjoyed it. Our site was beside the boat launch which we thought might be too busy but we enjoyed watching the boats and we had a great view of the St. Lawrence. We were at the park from a Friday to a Tuesday and my only negative comment would be the noise well after 11pm on Friday and Saturday night coming mostly from the seasonal campsites. The rest of the time was lovely and quiet. The booking and check-in were easy and I got answers right away when I emailed questions. All in all a beautiful spot to camp and highly recommended.
We have stayed at the Grenville Campground twice this year. We had a wonderful and relaxing time and couldn’t of asked for a better site and view waterfront. The sites, beaches and restrooms were clean. The campground is very well kept. The staff is extremely friendly and hospitable. We look forward to returning very soon. Would definitely recommend! Rating: 5 stars!!!
Loved this campground for many many years. It is beautiful!!!!! Even spent our honeymoon there! The river and the bridge are fabulous! Our 5 kids LOVED the playground. New owners took over about 4 years ago, it was rough start and they were forced to implement extra rules, but we felt for them and still enjoyed camping there. Some rules seemed excessive, but we were respectful and understanding. Over these few short years service at the campground has nose dived. It is no longer family friendly. We have witnessed staff being yelled at for trying to accommodate respectful long time campers, Dogs no longer being allowed to swim anywhere, kids no longer allowed to pitch a small tent even under their trailer canopy, Families leaving mid stay for the complete disrespect they received from the owners, and many long time seasonal friends leaving as soon as they find an opening elsewhere. The campgrounds list of rules is forever increasing making families feel very unwelcome. Very sorry to say we can’t even go as a family anymore and have found much more friendly campgrounds to enjoy! If your not an empty nester — Try the local lakes instead! Much more FAMILY FRIENDLY elsewhere!
If you are wanting to stay somewhere that has customer service as their motto then this is not the place for you. We were disappointed from the moment we arrived. The office is closed from noon until 1 pm and even though we arrived at 12:55 and the staff were sitting outside of their camper they did not acknowledge us. They made us wait the five minutes. We had communicated with this campground no less than 3 times prior to arrival because we are a motorhome towing an enclosed car trailer. We were wanting a pull through site. Apparently they had none but told us we would have to unhook our trailer. Not knowing the campground I asked for a site close to the parking lot where we would be unhooking our trailer. Basically we were camping in a parking lot. Gravel parking lot. We unhooked the trailer, unloaded our car and took the dog for a walk only to discover beautiful campsites within 200 yards where we could have pulled thru and not had to unhook the trailer and we would have had a gorgeous view. I was baffled. We have been in business for 40 years. We would always want to showcase our business in the best light. Obviously they didn't care. You need to put a $20 cash deposit for the gate card. I had no problem with that. The problem was when we could return it. The office closes at 5 pm. Opens at 10 am. I asked if I could return the gate card around 8 pm because we were having supper with family. The answer was simply NO. We were heading home to Manitoba the next morning and wanted an early start but they would not accommodate us until 9 am. That was the earliest they would meet us for the card exchange. To my mind that was ridiculous. Their camper is 40 steps away from the office. It should not have been an issue. My advice is to find another place to camp.
