Green Onion Cake Man

10/10. Authentic, one of a kind menu courtesy of the creator of this fantastic local business thats been around since he started a business here in the 90s! Green onion cake was grill fried from soft dough right in front of you, perfectly crispy, slightly oily and rich in soft but deep umami flavor. Also tried the pad Thai after devouring 2 onion cakes, it was yummy and the noodles were perfect. Just curious about the sauce/flavor as it was quite differently than any other pad Thai I've tried.

Love this place! The Szechuan Beef, Mu Shu Pork, and Green Onion Cakes are all amazing. I'm always sure to grab a pack of cakes to fry at home. Last time I came in they were selling bagels that were 10/10.

Classic round flat no hole in middle green onion cake. Dine in and all the sambal olec chilli sauce you want. Inside is a wobbly floor restaurant a boys girls bathroom and needs a repaint door. Or cleaned. Dirty print door. Needs a degreasing. Seems like i do need to go back and try some main dishes. Looks good and i over heard fresh dumplings made here not frozen something. Maybe they will add here whats made fresh.

My favorite place for lunch. The wonton soup is the best I've ever had and of course the green onion cakes are divine!! I must try local place in Edmonton..

Happened to be in the area and walked past the storefront and immediately recognized the name. Ordered 4 fresh green onion cakes for $16. Larger than expected and served with a couple of dipping sauces, which was a nice touch. Took them to go and they stayed piping hot for a while, and they were delicious! Would highly recommend trying.

Amazing! I ordered the beef wrap today and I was so happy! I couldn't even get back to my office before finishing it. I would share a picture but it's all gone! I paid $11.45 including a $2 tip for two beef wraps and some Kimchi. The Kimchi they served with it was full of flavor and spices. Highly recommend trying this place out. I've had their green onion cakes before to and they are top notch.

Came here because there's been hype regarding their green onion cakes and I'm kinda disappointed that it was salty for my liking other establishments in Chinatown are better tasting. Also, their dumplings are small and only one side was pan fried. You can find better in the city for both items

My family and I love the Green Onion Cake Man! The cakes, the dumplings, spring rolls and everything else is so fantastic and the staff are just wonderful. Lots of vegetarian options, gluten-free options and cooking tips online.
