This place was recommended by one of our closed friends and they had some great experience on Chicken Chettinad. For a group of 3 families, we ordered 3 dishes including Chettinad and the result was surprising. All tasted almost the same and was a bit sweet which is unlike a Chettinad. Name apart the dishes were ok. Chicken was not well cooked and in the Biryani it seemed to be stale. The dish s were modified when we complained and it tasted much better. It can be a bad day and so we may want to give one more chance next time before we say quit.
Its a worst place to visit for food. We drove 3hrs to canmore. We were having nice day until we decided to get food from this place. We spent 141$ on food. Issues: 1. They didn’t gave us the full food. 2. Then the given food appetizers was so less in quantity that we almost felt scammed for the amount we paid for it. 3. Besan pakodas only had besan in it. Felt like they tried their best to save cost. 4. When we called them back regarding this concern. They told us to bring the food back. 5. When we drove back to restaurant again they refused to give us refund. Never suggest anyone. Terrible place.
Indian Authentic Cuisine 100% lives up to its name. This is some of the most flavourful Indian Cuisine you will ever have! Raj will prepare amazing dishes that will make your taste buds sing and dance. I tried the Methi mushroom and it was to die for. The Nann bread is excellent and the Onion bhaji was equally amazing and the chutney is by far one of the best I have had. I have eaten at over 100 different Indian restaurants and THIS was by far the BEST. So many places make their dishes so oily, tasteless and use inferior ingredients. Raj owner and Amin server are holding the whole operation down and making dishes of food you will think about for weeks and months later! Can't say enough positive things about IAC! You will NOT be dissapointed! Eat well! Appreciate well and Tip well!!
Very nice experience. The food was amazing and delicious. The staff and Raj was also very responsive and welcoming. I would highly recommend if you are looking for great Indian food in the area.
We went to this place for our first meal of the day which was around 5 PM. The place was empty at that time. We tried the chicken Rajasthani, masala fish curry, paneer naan, and tandoori roti. Loved the taste of food. The Fish curry was medium spicy with good layers of flavors. Paneer naan was super soft and I was simply overjoyed by eating it. Must try place in the neighborhood, little expensive though compared to other options but quality of food was worth it. Service was good as well.
I ordered chicken biryani. The food service was huge, it is good for 2 person. Food taste so good. Service was great. Highly recommended Indian restaurant here in Canmore. A must try!!!!!
The waiter set expectations straight from the beginning that it would take longer than usual, the water glasses were dirty, however the food was pretty bland, the paneer 65 came with a strand of hair which the waiter denied, we had ordered garlic naan and the waiter had brought regular naan to the table. When we proceeded to let him know, respectfully, the naan order was wrong, he rudely denied. He dropped half of our dal on the ground then left it for us to eat, charged for the entire meal, didn’t even replace the meal with the hair on, or didn’t add any extra dal considering he dropped quite a bit. We paid over 160$ for dal and rice and a 2 chicken and veg apps!
I love restaurants where the chef checks on his/her customers! It’s the cherry on top for dining experiences, especially when the food IS delicious like theirs. The naan was I would come back here
Worst possible place to eat at. First of all the staff is so rude and the service is extremely slow. We had to wait for over an hour for our order. Would not recommend this to anyone. To top up the bad service, the staff is rude and lacks the basic decency to speak to customers. When asked about the staff shortage and the delay in service the server explained nobody wants to work here and he would leave at the earliest possible! This pretty much sums about the attitude of the person but in no way is a justification for rude behaviour. On top of it we were 6 people when we entered the place. My mom just sat there for a couple of minutes and went out with my 6 month old nephew without even drinking a sip of water and eating food. She was waiting in the car for close to two hours while our "dinner was still going on". The server was adamant enough to apply 18% gratuity since 6 people ENTERED the restaurant. The problem being they demanding gratuity for such a bad service of serving 5 people but because 6 people ENTERED THE RESTAURANT. They honestly deserved zero gratuity for ruining our evening. The family who occupied a table next to us had their kids crying while waiting for their food for over an hour. The server even had the audacity to argue even after such bad service! Please dont go blindly by the Google rating which seems to be managed well. If you are reading this, do yourself a favour and read the reviews of people who have rated this as one star and note at the no.of people who are astonished as to how this place has such good reviews. Our worst experience ever at a restaurant. Try it at your own risk! You have been warned!
Great meal, fresh food that was piping hot , reasonably priced and very flavourful the staff even catered to the level of spices you want in your food. As an Indian, I generally fear Indian restaurants outside of big cities because they almost always overcharge and disappoint BUT this was an absolutely pleasant surprise, right in the heart of Canmore!! Really friendly staff and very quick service. Will definitely be coming back again! Thank you for a wonderful dinner!
