Clean rooms, the new owners are remodeling the old rooms and it's looking so much better. The manager is super polite as well. They have the most affordable prices in the area and allow pets. I will be coming back here.Rooms: 5/5
The room had no chair the cabel box was hanging down and had a inch of dirt on it. had holes in the carpet rust around the sink and bathtub. the bed was a inch from the ground. The toilet was a joke. They charged 75.00 nite. Not worth more than 55.00.Bates Motel would be a better name.I have pictures if anyone to see them.
Beware of their cancellation policy - we had to cancel 52 hours ahead of time due to illness. They kept all of our money for a 4 night stay. Cancellation policy 72 hours for the total bill. I can understand losing the money for the 1st night as a deposit, the other 3 days were cancelled within the 72 hour window and should be refunded. Keeping all the money is bad for business, especially since they were weeknights we had booked, not even prime weekend days.
reserved a 1 bed room got there to find out there was no table to sit at just a bed. Then found out the pool was not open was told it has not been open for over five years. Had to upgrade to a room that had 2 beds and pay more so we could have a table to sit at. The beds were very hard and so were the pillows, was told they have new owners now so just beware. The only positives was they took pets and the prices were resonable
Just as the sign says it’s a “ Great Escape” ! Matt and Maria are super friendly and accommodating. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Will continue to book a stay there any time I’m in the Higgins / Houghton lake area!
This place was an unexpected find. Even though it looks outdated it has nice little amenities that we were not expecting, ex: a child's play area, dog run, nice bon fire area, basketball hoop and ball, horseshoes, game room, etc. The room was a bit tight but perfect for 3 humans and a dog for 3 days. Nice little kitchen area including stove top thing with 2 burners. The people that run it are very nice and keep up this lodge well!!!
Haven't even seen these rooms yet!!! Just booked our first stay with them. But I can just tell by talking to the lady on the phone we will be extremely happy with our stay. She was very friendly to speak with and already made us feel welcome to stay at her lodge. FYI: really great rates even with a pet.
My boss rented three rooms for 5 days for work up north and this place was clean and the rooms were good sized. Game room in the front with a pool table and a fire pit out back! Sadly the pool was closed tho.
Very nice owners, place is a little older, but very well kept up. Single level set up, and they seem to separate the little ones from the older visitors. ... respectfully! Enjoyed our stay! Jeff and Becky of Livonia Michigan!
This is a fantastic hidden secret. Mom and pops old school motor lodge. Indoor pool. Matt and Maria are wonderful host and owners. Answers all your needs and questions.Great fire pits and kid area. Pet friendly too. So nice clean and comfty. Prices are competitive. This is our 4th year there. Be back next year.
