Went for dinner on a weekend and wasn't too impressed. They have nice large windows but the sun kept shining right on my face and I felt like I was being blinded for 20 minutes straight til they finally decided to put down the blinds. The food was above average for Madison but didn't live up to their price tags or the hype this place has. There's also this service fee they add at the end of your bill not including tip. The cheese curds were good but the bibimbap was drenched in sauce and overly flavored and had way too much tofu and not enough vegetables. The service was decent but not high quality. The servers were constantly running around the tables that were all squished together in a small space and it didn't feel calming. The music also didn't match the ambiance of the restaurant, though I'm not exactly sure what kind of ambiance they were going for since there was a bar but also a dining area and there were couples as well as families with kids too. Overall, an above average choice for dinner in Madison but not amazing. And maybe go after the sun sets or early in the day or on a cloudy day.
Really cool location. The Island in the Sun Cocktail was dangerously good. The oysters I got were great. Small, but tasty and fresh and not overly expensive for an inland restaurant. I also got the double cheeseburger, very good burger. Good experience overall
Graze has redefined Burgers and More. Probably the best view of the Capital in Madison, a super friendly and knowledgeable Team, and don't forget, amazing Burgers. It is not inexpensive, but it is worth few extra dollars. We enjoyed the Beet Salad, The Mac-N-Cheese and the spectacular Graze Burger which is ground short rib, brisket and bacon. The cocktails are wonderful, but the wine selection is very modest to say the least. I guess that people who buy expensive burgers drink cocktails and beer.. Overall this is a "Don't Miss" when visiting Madison.
Graze is the place for good food and great service. The menu had a quite a few vegan and vegetarian options . We had the bibimbap, taquitos, mezze rigatoni, and roasted beets. For dessert we got the basque cake. The cake was outstanding. LOVED IT! Bibimbap was my favorite, it’s a must must try. Love the flavors in it and it’s got a spicy kick to it. The pasta was delicious too. Both the Roasted beets and the taquitos were great starters. Our server was amazing too and she had nothing but great recommendations. Graze is located on the square around the Capitol. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating area gets pretty crowded during the evenings and on the weekends so make reservations.
We went for dinner on a weeknight without a reservation around 6:30/7:00pm and were seated at a booth immediately. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful in going over the menu and their special. Graze would easily get 5 stars, but the limited menu made it challenging for one person in my group that does not eat meat-- however, we were able to find vegetarian options. I highly recommend the beet & walnut burger and the Mezze Rigatoni Alla Kristine. The cheese curds are some of the best I've had.
This place was amazing. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the drinks were well made. The menu is unique and affordable and the restaurant is very well kept. The view of the Capitol building adds to the ambiance. Will definitely come back when I am in town next!
Go early because the restaurant fills up fast!! I got the beet and walnut burger which was excellent!! Didn’t carry a strong beet flavor. It tasted flavorful and fresh. We also got the sirloin burger which was delicious but very rich a lot of meat. Fries ans salad were good. Staff were wonderful - informative, helpful and efficient. We got drinks from the bar but weren’t overly impressed.
Very good burger and nice ambiance. It is right next to the state capitol house, and with a full glass wall, you can enjoy the view anytime when dining there.
I have visited there many times. This is my favorite place to eat. They always serve the fresh and well cooked food. The vibe of Graze is something different. Atmosphere is so friendly and relaxing.
Graze is a go to restaurant when we take a trip to Madison. Always a tasty experience and menu staples like the yummy umami bomb Graze burger! are mixed in with rotating seasonal, locally sourced meal options. Take shisito peppers, which you may not think of as a great appetizer choice, but roast them in a buttery garlic cream sauce and top with toasty bread crumbs and you've got yourself a real winner! You cannot beat the Vodka battered cheese curds! Slightly sweet with the melty goodness of cheese! Add that in with a Graze burger, which we split, mainly because it is so rich. Made with brisket, this burger checks all the boxes! Service was also on par, quick, attentive and they were always very kind!
