Nice little park off the beaten path! Takes a couple miles down a gravel road to get there. Some parts are great, some parts are pretty washed out. But the park has many picnic tables and places to charcoal cook! As well as pit toliets. Peaceful and tranquil!
The trash was full and all over. Other then that beautiful park
I grew up swimming here and was so excited to share it with my children! The bugs were awful the day we were there but you won't find better skipping stones or better rock hunting anywhere else!!! Pack water shoes!
Excellent county park on the shores of Lake Superior. Went here with a friend to go agate picking and it did not disappoint. The road out to the park is a little rough, but most cars can make it if you go slow. Vault toilets are nicely updated. Lots of picnic tables and open space.
I've been here a number of times. Dirt road so people in small cars may not like that. A couple clean outhouses on site. Lots of rocks on beach. Seems to be a good fishing area. No camping.
Beautiful view. Road there is a bit rough so may have to take it slower. Clean pit bathrooms at the end. Some nice fire pits ready to go, but bring some local wood in with you. Bear proof trash cans available. Some picnic benches and grills available too.
Lots of great rocks, even picnic tables, grills and bathrooms! The road to get there is a winding dirt road but we did it with an Equinox and a popup just fine
I wish they never placed the restrooms where they did, should have opened up the parking area back in the woods. The new parking took away the former beauty of entering “the mouth”
A beautiful stoney beach where the Gratiot river flows into Lake Superior!! The beach literally goes for miles! It is one of our favorite places to watch the sunset!!
Beautiful beach with lots of rocks. Never crowded, clean water, and the freshest air there is. A must see.
