Great place to watch the Perseid meteor showers at night, not a lot of light pollution here. Oh, you don't like stamp sand? Lake Superior too cold? You know what we say here: if you don't like the weather in the U.P. wait five minutes, then go back where you came from. :P

Great place for a bonfire on a chilly fall night, or any time of the year for that matter. If you want to catch the northern lights away from the cities of Houghton and Hancock, this is the place to go.

Chutes and ladders! My kids still love playing there, and my son fishes as well. Great evening activity.
