Grand Times Hotel Drummondville ****

The hotel was fine. The rooms are very dark, which makes sleeping in very easy! I found the bed comfortable, but my husband thought the mattress was hard and didn’t get the best sleep. The location is very good, just off the highway and close to shops & restaurants. If you book through Expedia, you get special room keys to insure you know that the continental breakfast is NOT included, contradictory to what is advertised when booking, so be aware of that.

Edit: on our way out, we found loose wires hanging down and some just electrical taped together. I do not recommend ever staying here. If visible wiring is this bad, how bad is the stuff you can't see.nnThe rooms look nice, but the outlets are all on one side of the room, useless if you have multiple phones for charging at night. The mattress was horrible, I woke up in a lotnof pain. The pillows were small and too soft.nnThe shower was very nice, as was the rest of the washroom.nnWe booked through a 3rd party, which meant it didn't include breakfast, it doesnt say that when booking. We could add it back for $13/person/day, we passed.nnThe tv isn't a smart tv, so no easy streaming from you online services.nnThe staff were great and very helpful with extra pillows and other amenities.

Was the most expensive hotel ~350/night in our trip and it felt the cheaper one.nnThey did have large rooms and a generally nice style, good lighting and in general the room is a great first impression, except for the cheap soap dispensers.nnHowever after you actually get to use the room, Beds made our backs hurt, the pillows weren’t comfortable. We smelled like bleach after the shower, and there was no conditioner.nnThey were sure I felt like a 3rd class person just because I made the reservation from a platform, got the worst possible view got to see the convention space rooftop.nnStaff was generally friendly, but there was no tissue in the box, we asked front desk for one late at night and got 3 napkins. Got to wait until morning to go ask for a box to the cleaning staff.nnGood if you value form over function.

I find the receptionist really rude with zero effort to make the check in easier. Answer to everything is no unfortunately no and more no. I have stayed in alot of hotels and this one will not be on my list ever again.

I have stayed there at least 5 times visiting family in Drummondville. I am still rating it 5- star. An impeccable very modern hotel with great reception and amenities large rooms fridge great drapes great bathroom soundproof rooms easy parking etc. What struck me this time however is some indication of “cheapness”. If you do not book directly with them tedious process on their website breakfast which I recall was a “very” basic one is not included: this mentioned to you repeatedly at check-in. Plus you are surprised with an offer of a 4$ water bottle in your bathroom and asked at checkout if you consumed it. With water bottles selling for pennies the hotel is not doing itself a favor this way. Make the price 243$ a night instead of 242$ and make guests feel welcome! I hope they correct these things as it is still my hotel of choice in Drummondville.
