Grand Motel

I was very disappointed with my stay at the Grand Motel in Brantford. The room was filthy, floors needed a mop, my socks were black at the end of my stay. You are best to leave your shoes on. The bathroom was covered in previous guests hair all over floor. The white bath towels had questionable brown spots on them. We found some bed bugs in the comforter. No air conditioning, the heat was on full blast. We asked front desk if they would turn off the heat in our room, they said no. I did not feel safe in the area at night, other guests and/or other people were wandering around and causing a commotion right outside my room and were circling my car. I couldn’t make it through the full night. My partner and I left our room at 2 in the morning, respectively dropping our key in the mailbox outside front desk.

ROACHES! don't get me wrong the guy who got me my room was a polite guy. I get the key walk in looks clean. I started to get settled pull up to the table with my dinner. Grab a shower. The soaps are a waste of time. I come out of the shower there is 3 roaches on and around my food! I know what they are I used to install furnaces I see them often. I tried to man up and just keep my things away but knew when the lights go out they start shopping, I could not take it left at 1am booked the comfort inn wasted 70.00

No hot water, filthy, insect infestation, outside noise is loud in the room stayed in 5 and "paper-thin walls". The tub drain had a huge accumulation of hair, toilet was never cleaned around the outer bowl and the floors blackened a cleaning cloth I don't like to pick places apart but this was only tidied. The window was disgusting! Untouchable for an ungloved hand.

I've never been in a more disgusting room. It reeked of cigarettes, there were burn holes in the comforter, mold in the bathroom, and the carpet was black and matted. There was snot on the walls. Someone even blew their nose on the toilet paper roll and just left it.Rooms: 1/5

It's not good, but it's cheap and there were no bugs. Very bare-bones, but you have everything you really need just for an overnight. The shower was surprisingly clean. There are nicotine stains and cigarette burns here and there. The weirdest part was that the heat kept coming on, in the middle of the summer, and there was no thermostat or even an openable window in the room. Regardless, the staff was friendly and helpful.

The staff were fantastic! I don't want to discredit the staff. The rooms were clean enough and didn't have bugs. For some reason the heat was on in August and the rooms do not have temperature control. The wifi did not work and the tv also did not work. There was also an odd light coming from the floor vents. It was the cheapest motel I could find.... It showed. Passable, but only for somewhere to sleep.

The room was clean and the caretaker was kind, but that's all the positive I can say. There was no heat...in fact you could see through the vents in the floor to the boiler room below, where there were leaking pipes and you could hear the water running and spilling all over. Looked like a scene from a horror movie through the grates on the floor. No joke. The grates for HEAT were just for show and to cover HOLES in the floor that opened to a boiler room/basement. The wifi did not work at all, even though they had like 3 or 5 different connections, none of them worked, and then the icing on the cake? SOMEONE or multiple people were RUNNING around on the roof at 10pm at night. We couldn't sleep at all and ended up leaving at 10:30pm. Didn't even stay the night. Absolutely horrible. I feel so bad for anyone who has to LIVE there. Its cheap...but come on. You can probably do better.

There is NOTHING Grand about this motel!! It's the worst motel i have ever stayed in, in my life!! Nicotine stains all over the walls, ceiling, door handles, etc. Things held together by black duct tape. One electrical outlet worked. You had to stand outside in the parking lot to get the "free Wi-Fi". I'm actually embarrassed for the owner!! This place is disgraceful!! Avoid at ALL cost!!

This hotel is Okay, my room had a microwave and mini fridge shower with bath and decent granite counter top, friendly staff willing to help out, but with such a cheap price you there are downsides, mainly very dirty walls, and ceiling of the bathroom is starting to peele, and a very stiff bed, they have what looks to be an up to date camera system, overall a good place if you’re on a tight budget, but I’m definitely booking ahead to a hotel with nicer bed next time
