"Located on the shores of Davis Bay, Gourmet Girl is where you can relax on the heated patio and enjoy our fabulous ocean view while feasting on fresh and lovingly prepared food.Gourmet Girl opened in April 2017 and is located inside Pier 17. Since then, Gourmet Girl, Nicole Lachance, has been whipping up casual fare through her interpretations of classic dishes and unpretentious food that appeals to meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans.Gourmet Girl's welcoming interior, designed by both Nicole + Paolo, reflects the relaxing seaside of the surrounding area while also paying tribute to the Sechelt art community by showcasing local artists work on the walls.. The large space offers the choice to observe the ocean from the heated patio."
Basic food, nothing fancy, was a bit turned off by oil oozing out of sweet potato fries. I've had those before but not like this, I'm not sure what it was but something was off. Same thing with the haddock burger, very basic with no flavor of its own. Otherwise the ambience is nice, has the vibe of an island cafe, has seating outside so you can enjoy your coffee during nice weather days in their patio.
Located right across from the beautiful beach. You can enjoy the views while you wait for your food to be ready. I’m not a big fan of gluten free food but Best gluten free fish and chips ever. The battered fish was hot and moist inside with nice crispy outside. Now I like gluten free!
Such a cute spot! I didn’t get to try the food as we were just popping in for a coffee for the road! However the menu looks delightful and their baked goods delicious! What really caught my eye was the little store section full of local made artisan gifts and homeware! So many things I could have bought! I will visit again when I have more time!
Filling and good flavour, with vegan options! I had the tofu version of the Bravas Breakfast Burrito with a blueberry square for dessert and was quite satisfied, it was a nice way to start the day eating them on the patio. I was most impressed by the hashbrowns inside the burrito, excellently seasoned. My only complaints would be the price was a tad higher than I would like and they did get my order slightly wrong by getting me a regular coffee latte instead of a Chai latte simple miscommunication I think, but otherwise everything was excellent. Vegetarian options: While not entirely vegan or vegetarian, many dishes can be made to accomodate and are labelled well. Drinks can be made with milk alternatives.
came here with my boyfriend before catching the ferry back to vancouver! the food was awesome and the staff were super helpful. i originally wanted the french toast but after paying they told us they were all out, so i ordered the crepes instead which were super yummy!! they gave us a small refund cuz there was a price difference, but we ended up buying something from the shop so it all worked out : definitely stop by this place!!!
Stopped in here sort of by accident when the restaurant we meant to go to was closed. What a stroke of luck! Delicious food, adorable atmosphere, and you can shop in the little store while you wait for your order! Will definitely be back.
We stumbled upon this place when we stopped to check out the pier in Sechelt and wow were we glad we did! We got a table outside that overlooked the ocean, and it felt like paradise! With free parking out front, and breakfast served all day, you can’t go wrong. The food was delicious and totally hit the spot. Would highly recommend!
I had the Hangover Cure and a Latte and this place definitely lives up to the reviews! Have been up the Coast quite a few times and I think because I've always been so focused on the ocean I never noticed the cafe! Will definitely have to come back :
Best place to eat in Davis Bay and Sechelt, and one of the best on the entire Sunshine Coast! We love the breakfast Benny's, Hangover Cure hashbrowns, Pancakes, the burger and wraps, and the yummy baked goods! Huge selection, amazing service, and yet still quirky, full of personality, and great for the entire family!! Love the included shop/market area! Hands down my favorite place! Vegetarian options: I'm a vegetarian, and not only do they have amazing veg dishes, they also have lots gluten free, vegan, and can make a dish Veg if you ask them. Kid-friendliness: We frequently bring out kids 4 and 9 months and there are comfy benches, kid chairs, lots of space for strollers etc.. I can easily brunch with the whole family! Parking: A good amount of spaces in front on the lot, and tons free parking on the street. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp and wide patio / doors.
Delicious breakfast, great coffee and super cute location. The service was exceptional, the servers and cashiers were so kind and friendly and we even met the owner when the espresso machine broke down and he came in to fix it!. Highly recommend!Food: 5/5
