I have been a patient of Dr. Wendy Gould for about 4 years, and have seen her 3 times. Each interaction is pleasant, she is very personable and detail oriented. She never makes me feel rushed and will ask lots of questions to make sure she understands what's going on with me, prompting things I wouldn't have thought to tell her. The office recently changed locations, and is now in a large, modern building. The office staff is pleasant. I was referred to them by my family doctor and received a call from them promptly to make an appointment. I have called their office a few times and never had a problem. I usually call in the morning.
Very professional place Punctual, very hands on treatments. Got offered to qualify for clinical trial at $150 for each visit.. nice
I am very impressed by Dr. Sussman's care & attention. I was referred to him for patch testing by my dermatologist and the staff at his clinic were excellent to deal with. Moreover, Dr. Sussman elected to do additional testing while I was in his office. He patiently discussed my condition and went above & beyond in offering his assistance moving forward. What a fantastic doctor and a gentleman.
Want to rate Dr. Sussman a 5 for his care and concern, the clinic a 2, and the research staff a 2. My thoughts echo others' reviews here. The clinic staff is extremely haphazard in replying to phone calls, voicemail messages and emails. You never know when you'll get an answer, and even if you do, you might have to call back to follow up with them. Good luck with that. The only time I am semi hopeful on an email reply is for a communication the staff originally sent me, such as when they send a prescription over email, and I reply back with a question/concern. I sometimes feel like I am a project manager who is managing them. I can understand the pressures of COVID restrictions, etc., however, this isn't a typical doctor's office, where patients are doing routine check-ups, etc. This clinic works with patients with sometimes really quality-of-life hampering and debilitating conditions, like myself, which require more care and responsiveness. I would hold them to a higher standard than a walk-in clinic or family doctor's office. What's odd is that in person, the staff is actually very kind and easily to talk to. Offline, however, it's like you're dealing with a different set of people. Dr. Sussman can appear curt and even dismissive at times, but he is super busy and deals with all types of patients and conditions. I believe his intentions are honest and he seems genuine in trying to diagnose and help with sometimes extremely difficult to understand and treat conditions, like cholinergic urticaria. The research staff has been changing quite a bit as of late, it seems attrition/new hires. That said, they seem inundated with work and are struggling to get their ducks in a row and figure out who belongs to what trial/research. I was told multiple times by the new research coordinator that the clinical trials I was supposed to participate in would be delayed and no reason provided. I was simply told "we'll contact you when it's starting". This post is not meant to hurt feelings, but rather provide honest feedback and criticism in hopes of overall improvement of the experience and services offered. I'm definitely not the sole patient with these concerns.
I'm disgusted with this clinic. Very unprofessional. When gone in to have an appointment about a serious allergic reaction to one of the vaccines simply got welcomed with "here's another patient who claims shes allergic to vax , everyone now is allergic with a sigh of laughter" was referred to get tested here to see what ingredient in the vax the allergic reaction came from but instead did an environmental allergy test and told me things I already knew was allergic to.. I'm beyond frustrated with how these medical professionals have changed over the past years. Do not recommend to anyone
I’m confident Dr.Sussman is a talented allergist, but his office has not responded to my mother’s phone or email enquires. My mother suffered an allergic reaction to both doses of the covid vaccine, and as a healthcare provider with lung issues she is now eligible for a booster. She is supposed to be tested to determine what she was allergic to. This office has not responded.
I just recently became a patient of this clinic and they've been fantastic to go to. Dr Sussman is really down to earth and thorough. He truly cares about his patients & staff as well. I can't recommend this clinic enough.
Good things happen to those who wait! I’ve been waiting a long time to finally get to the route of what I’m allergic to! I was assessed by a medical student and could tell he was in a good learning environment, the nurse was so lovely! She noticed I was getting a bit upset when I found out I was allergic to my cat, and encouraged me that all would be fine! When I finally got to see Dr. Sussman, he was so genuine and caring and got straight to the point of how to care for my needs! What a well run doctors office! Highly recommend this doctor!!
Perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. You should know the office is in a old converted house. There are boxes of things all scattered about a patient asked if they were moving!. The exam rooms are old closets and bedrooms. Even the supplies are vintage glass bottle droppers and rubbing alcohol in metal containers. Practical info: phone line is never answered. I got lucky by calling at 845am and someone only happened to pick up the phone to make a call and I was waiting on the other side. Agree with all above comments that Dr. Sussman is a renowned expert in the field, takes the time to treat you as a person and get to the root of your problems. The nurse is very kind and gentle. They were very accommodating and like babies!
Don't know why the few negative remarks. Dr. Sussman is caring and kind. He's always taken his time with me. Yes, there are students there, but so what? They're there interning under supervision. And wait times are decent. I can't even see my own family doctor in 30 mins, but every time I have an appointment with Dr. Sussman I've seen him within 20-30 mins.
