Hi i have been going to good lift fitness for almost a year. About two months I mat a young lady she was a personal trainer. her name is Annica Collette she is a very Professional trainer. very carrying if you go to this gym and need a trainer she is the one. I also when to add the Mapleton good life is one of the best gyms i have ever. Awesome people
Signed up and paid through the corporate portal online. Went into the gym to get my Door Tag... I had to meet with a sales person who pretty much held my Door Tag hostage unless I went though some onboarding or orientation with her. I told her I had gone to that same location before and I knew where everything was - I just wanted to pick up my Door Tag - that's all. She wouldn't budge. I paid for a full year up front and she was not giving me the ability to access the gym. If a member were to break some rule in their membership contract they'd hold the member accountable. I paid in full for access and I was being denied - there's nothing in the membership contract that states I am required to go through some sales pitch before I can access the facilities - isn't that a breach of contract? Worst experience I've ever had at a gym.
By far the best goodlife I have been to. The layout is great other than the latest switch to the Dumbbell layout, lots of squat racks, machines and space to workout. Staff are friendly even at 5am!
Pushy sales tactics and many broken machines. No flexibility to cancel/rebook classes has to be done more than 5 hours before the class starts, even though classes are never full. No one told me of this rule and I was barred from booking classes for a week, even though I am paying for classes. Giving two stars only because some of the class instructors are great.
Won't go to this gym anymore, was told by instructor in the studio to leave on speaker, because I was a distraction All I wanted was to stretch in the corner, she then says that's the goodlife policy, not hers and had me leave It was a class of 4 ladies doing HITT and I was on the other side When I approached her that she humiliated me, she said that's not her issue that's management and she's worked there for 10 years, told me to talk to Nate, all I wanted was an apology and perhaps a recommendation to put a sign on door, classic n session do not open door, when I asked to see the corporate policy about not entering the room, no one could do show me I felt humiliated, disrespected and looked at like I wasn't a valued member of that gym. I never ask for anything, I mind my business but today I truly felt like I was not taken with respect or dignity and it was my fault and not the instructor, I asked for and apology and she gave me one but only because I asked, she did not care and took no accountability for her behaviour, I don't think I will go to this goodlife location again, which is sad because I did like the rest of the staff But there should be a sign on the door moving forward for other customers so they don't have to go through what I went through
If you are new to the gym or fitness in general and would prefer to go when it's less crowded with gymbros lifting entire stacks of weights with one arm making you feel very self conscious about struggling to lift light weights with both arms or if you just don't like standing around waiting for a machine. the best time to go is after 10:30pm the gym is almost empty during the graveyard shift and the staff are so bored they jump at the chance to help.
Hey all, I’m new to NB all the way from NS, and I’ve heard and read nothing but Positive things about this gym. I’m hoping to be signing up for a membership fairly soon. I have been told that GoodLife fitness should be my gym of choice. So I’m deffintly going to give it a shot. Hope to meet you all soon! Cheers.
I was at this gym last week. I am 21 and my brother is 18, I was trying to add him on my account but I was denied and told what I was doing is illegal. He was on my account once in the past and we had just canceled his membership for a few months, so re adding should have been no issue. An employee Amelie and another man she was working with were nothing but rude and refusing to help me. At one point they compared me bringing my brother to the gym, to the same as bringing my little brother into the LIQUOR STORE, which is absolutely ridiculous! They then threatened to call the police on me so I left. I went to the other location where they let us in without any issues whatsoever! I would STRONGLY recommend to go to the downtown location or the dieppe location instead.
Standard Goodlife. It gets busy but not so much that you can't get the machine you'd like without possibly waiting too long.
