Jerkies Chicken

I truly didn’t know what to expect. The signage Guyanese Caribbean caught my attention. I must say I wasn’t disappointed. I had the Ox tail with peas and rice, it comes with a coleslaw but I didn’t care much for it . I also had the deep fried Jamaica Patty , I didn’t really like it . I like them baked . The peas and rice were very tasty , probably the best I’ve had . The Oxtail had great flavour and everything was piping hot . Im definitely going back and trying every main on the menu. I’m giving Jerkies 3.9 Randy Stars, better than 1 Micheline star

Got a small jerk chicken for lunch and was impressed by how HOT the food was. That's what you want to see for super fresh food. The flavours are good though I personally think it could've used a bit more seasoning. They also give you plantains which was very nice. Staff are friendly and the food was ready very quickly.

I just ordered for the first time through uber eats - and OH MY DAYS this is so good. I had Jerk chicken with the rice and peas and plantain. chicken was so soft and tender, fell RIGHT off the bone. rice and peas seasoned to perfection and plantains cooked amazing. I also had the beef patty - was amazing too. It was so good, i wish I could give double the stars.

First time ordering here. I was craving a jerk chicken poutine. It was very satisfying, ranks the second best jerk poutine I've ever hadand there are some local places I've yet to try. I would recommend, although it didn't rank #1 for me, it was delicious. You could taste the depth of flavor and a beautiful hint of scotch bonnet pepper. I will review again after trying other locations.

Don’t order from this restaurant if you know what’s good for yourself. The rice and peas is like dog food filled with oil and the oxtail is just bones. I would rate is -100 if I could! Such a waste of money

I went here in the summer, I’m from a small town in Alberta where there is no Caribbean restaurants near me. I ordered the curry chicken, it was flavourful juicy and spicy exactly what I was looking for would definitely come back next summer

Second time here. First was during COVID and wasn’t the greatest experience. Second time was today, June 24th - asked for a roti and shown below is what was received. Very disappointed. Go to Island Flava on Dalhousie for roti or Caribbean food - hands down the best in the city.

Fantastic chicken, falls right off the bone. It really had the perfect amount of everything, spiciness was really pleasant, had a nice sweet taste. Also good amount of food for the price!

Jerkies chicken, Jerk in a box, and wingz n things are all the same restaurant. Illusion of choice. How do you ruin a good food experience? Bad business practices.Food: 3/5

Food is mediocre and the oxtail portion is very small. They fill the container with rice and put the oxtail on top to make it look more full. Kinda disappointed
