Golden Lake Restaurant Chinese Food

Tried here based on the Google reviews and they did not disappoint. You know a Chinese restaurant is good when they can properly make this staple take out. Beef rice noodle with soya sauce. Lots of beef and container filled to the top. Can’t wait to try other items on the menu.

Blessings upon Golden Lake!! Again, food was extremely fresh and overflowing in containers. The picture of the pepper beef is after 2 helpings and the chicken balls are mostly meat, not much batter. It was great, thank you!!

Take-Out order placed are precise in regards to pick-up time that they tell you. Approximately 10min for individual combo orders. Take-Out container is always full and bursting - you get your money's worth! I recommend the Chef's Special General Tao combo. Comes with Fried Rice, Breaded Chicken Juicy chicken breast and not all bread like most chinese restaurants with General. Tao Sauce, Vegetable Spring Roll and Pop. Consistent in taste, volume and quality. Try the BBQ Pork appetizer as well!

Delivery was good. Meal was hot. The thing I didn’t like was there was so much of the red sweet and sour sauce covering the meal. This should be in a separate container. Overall still recommend to try for yourself.

I ordered Combo 5 vegetarian option and it was tasteless, no salt and or spice. The owner was stubborn and refused to use sweet & sour sauce or garlic sauce for the stir fry. The only good thing was portion size, qty is large but of no good if it doesn’t taste good. Not Recommended. Not worth the price. I have been ordering delivery for the past 3 years. The food has always been delivered hot, fresh and delicious. Everyone from person who takes orders to the delivery driver is polite and very pleasant to deal with.

4.5 stars: I was craving some old school Canadian Chinese food and decided to order a few dishes from Golden Lake. Ordered the Singapore vermicelli noodles, Golden Lake foo yong, curry beef & kung pao beef. Asked for egg rolls instead of the complimentary mini spring rolls, and they accommodated. Food order was ready on time and packaged nicely. Service was very friendly. They included sauce packets and fortune cookies. The food was just what I was craving - and not overly salted like some places. Highlights were the noodles, egg rolls, and egg foo yong. The kung pao beef was a bit saucy compared to what I am used to and the curry beef sauce was just not for me. The protein/fresh veggie ratio was great in the dishes. I would definitely order from here again. It's hard to find a good Chinese food place that serves non-Hakka Chinese in Brampton.

Ordered delivery from this place. Rice was hard, peas still felt frozen, beef had a green tint and tasted boiled .. shrimp was boiled ok they need to boil the shrimp prior to frying it wasn’t fried with the rice at all .. tasteless food. Called to let the business know and was transferred to a manager who then told us to return the food very rudely and then give us a refund.. Would NOT recommend. Worst Chinese in Brampton.

This place is amazing. Best Chineses food place we have been to. We normally purchase several difference dishes and it cost around $80, but it will feed 6 of us and left-overs. Food is always fresh and delicious for us.

Average tasting food, the food is either a hit or a miss at times. The fried rice lacks flavour, it's very dry and bland. The black pepper beef taste was good, but majority of the dish was filled with green peppers. The chop suey dish was the worst. Felt like this dish was falsely advertised. It said "chop suey + dry noodles = chow mein". All we received was bean sprouts and a bit of celery and two pieces of broccoli. Overall, depends on the dish ordered. Some will taste delicious some will be disappoitning. Learn from the mistakes and not to order the bad dishes again. One bonus, they offer 10% off on pickup orders of $30 or more if paid with cash.
