Must try hot pot in the city! My new go to spot for when I am craving it. The service was absolutely top notch, I called to make a reservation and the owner Patrick did an excellent job in hosting me earlier today from beginning till the end. The server Jessica did an amazing job with answering all my questions and also provided flawless customer service to everyone inside the restaurant! She was super helpful to a family that was trying hot pot for the first time, I noticed how great she was because they were sitting right next to me! She took the time to explain everything and guided them to make the right selections based on their preferences. The meat selection I got was very premium and worth it for the price! I recommend getting the wagyu and pair it with the lobster ball! The broth selection is really thoughtful because they have a fully vegetarian one. I got all three in one go to try all of them at once! Give this restaurant a shot for your next best hot pot experience!
Cute little traditional but modern style looking hotpot restaurant. Love the way they present their meats and their split pot so you can try variety of broth. Great service and very friendly. The food was good and at a reasonable price. Table was a bit small but cozy. Love the idea with the serviettes in the drawers of each side of the square table.
The owner was super nice for accommodating us for a 9pm visit since they close at 10pm and coming out to fetch for us when we got lost lol. They did not rush us even when we ate passed 10pm. The presentation of the dishes were appealing. The restaurant setting was cool. You can also find rare items that you don't often see in other hot pot places in Alberta duck jelly/ goose intestines. As some mentioned, the tomato soup base can be slightly stronger. Overall the food was tasty. Last but not least, i love their ice jelly dessert, so refreshing ! Will definitely visit again.
Super filling and good prices! The Beef and Lamb Platter was very good value. The sauce bar has a large variety of selection. Renovation is also nice and service is very fast! There are also lots of vegetables, noodles, and meat balls to choose from! Would definitely give this place a try!
Fresh ingredients but the portion were really small, besides not much sauce and spices you can choose from. Broth was good but again the presentation could've been done better. The service was very slow too. Honestly not worth of price, but guess Calgary doesn't have much options anyway.
First time trying hot pot in the city! Made reservations a couple hours in advance on a Friday afternoon for date night! I would recommend calling for a reservation as there are only 5 tables. They asked if it was our first time visiting and we let them know it was. They explained how it worked - choose soup a soup base, pick things to cook and help ourselves to the sauce bar. We wanted to try it all for the soup base so we got the 3 flavor option - choosing original, tomato and spicy. For spicy, you can choose mild, medium or hot.. I chose hot and she confirmed if I could handle it : My wife really liked the tomato and I loved the spicy. It was surprising how much the meat absorbed the flavors. We'll do without the original next time. We ordered a few beef dishes, lamb and fish. The sliced lamb and beef balls were the highlights for the meat. The lobster balls lacked any real lobster flavor unfortunately. It was fun to cook vermicelli and spinach in the hot pot along with the meats. Service was great and checked on us multiple times! We'll be back!
First time doing hot pot! It was really fun and great way to do group dining! we did 2 table/pots with 3 broths each and we tried a ton of stuff! the garlic beef really stole the show though I highly recommend it! The spicy broth and the spicy beef together gets the sweat going. We enjoyed squid, shrimp lamb, beef, & wagu beef, and a bunch of veggies the bamboo is scrumptious too!
Honestly the location is awkward, parking options suck and the seating is very uncomfortable. However, the food, prices and service are awesome!!! Probably my new favorite hot pot in the city! The spicy broth was addictive and I highly recommend to order the 'hot pot vermicelli' - everyone at our table was obsessed with these noodles! I heard they plan to move to a better location if they keep doing well, so I really hope they do!
Last week, we had an absolutely delicious dinner at Golden Dragon Hot Pot!! I had mentioned over the phone that I was vegetarian and everyone working at the restaurant accommodated perfectly and provided a tomato broth. They even explained to me which sauces contained seafood and meat so that I could avoid them! Everything was so delicious and my friends and I had a great time! The staff were friendly and kind and made our night wonderful.
This was my first experience for hot pot. And let me tell you. This place was amazing. The staff went above an beyond making sure my partner and I knew what we were doing, and what we were eating. Making sure that everything tasted good and was spicy enough. They told us what the most popular dishes were and how to cook everything. The only complaint was that it was kinda of loud, but I did expect it going in. 100% will visit again
