I love this place, I've been craving it since I arrived in Anchorage! I'm here from Pennsylvania. They were closed on Monday and Tuesday. I found out when I pulled in, read the sign, and went today, Wednesday, all excited!!! I needed my fix! Only to get there and Open sign was lit up, but doors were locked. Was also hoping to get some on Saturday to take home with me... I hope they will be open by then!
The service was great! There were a few people in line ahead of me, but they moved very quickly and I got in and out with a giant box of the best donuts I've ever had, in less than 10 minutes. They had a great selection to choose from and the place was clean too. Family owned and operated. Seems like really hard workers and you can certainly taste the love put into these donuts. I will definitely be stopping by every time I'm in Anchorage.
5 outta 5 hands down you must get donuts here! Just went with my special needs son who can't stand his food touching others. The lady working there was so considerate and packaged his donuts separately. Really made his day!nTaste is 10 outta 10. Sit down place where you can order drinks too. Got vanilla chai tea.nYou also have a cool experience window where you can see the bakers making dough and preparing donuts.nOpen 24/7 right now and local family business who is special needs friendly! Come out and support!
I have had my heart broken by this place many times now. I just want BISCUITS and GRAVY and it's always a roll of the dice if I'm gonna get any or not. I will show up at 7am and be told they haven't made any yet. I will show up at 9am the next day and be told that they are sold out. I will show up at 8am the following morning only to be told that they aren't making any that day! One time I was told 3 different things by 3 different employees concerning the status of B&G. 1. they will be ready shortly 2. We aren't serving them today 3. Coming right up??? I have driven away empty handed more times than nought. Well I just can't do it anymore, and I refuse to be in an abusive relationship any longer!nn+Donuts are alright.nn+There used to be some really cute twins that worked there.nn-They have some truly bizarre business hours open on Friday at like 3am but closed Monday and sometimes just randomly closed.
I’m not a donut fan, but I became one after trying the ones at Golden Donuts. They are absolutely PHENOMENAL. Fresh inside with the perfect amount of crunch on the outside. I stopped in with a friend, who says their drip coffee is the best in Anchorage. She wasn’t wrong. It was SO fresh and had the most incredible flavor. The owner was kind and friendly, and even slipped an extra donut in my bag.nnThe only bad thing I can say about this place is that that it’s too close to my house, now I’m going to have to stop every single day. Worth it.
