Giordano's

Not tasty. I was excited to try deep dish pizza for the first time, but it was not tasty at all. The crust was bland and soggy. The pizza itself had no taste that I had to add a lot of extra seasonings on top to make it taste decent. The service was also very slow.

Awesome food, well worth the travel. We come from Austin, TX, to Dwight Illinois for a Christian camp and conferenceManCamp.nEvery year, we go to Giordano's.

I was excited for this place to finally reopen! I had a pick up order the other day I was bringing to a work party and the order was placed at least a day in advance online and still was made late to pick up by about 30 minutes past the time I needed it for our employee’s lunch break. I was called 20 minutes before the order was due to be made aware of the delay of maybe 15 minutes extra, but when I got there at the time she told me it would be ready, I still was left waiting in the restaurant for at least another 10-15 minutes. The restaurant did have a nice atmosphere and decorations for dining in. I marked online that I would need plates and utensils and of course, they didn’t have any plates. The deep dish pizzas I ordered weren’t cut symmetrically they were super thick or thin slices which was annoying. They also weren’t cut all the way through so we had to break a few plastic knives to get the pizza slices cut out. I also ordered their appetizer sampler which probably had 2 decent sized chicken “wings” out if the 5 and the rest were 1/3rd size pieces of what a boneless wing should be. Pretty disappointed in the quality, service, and food - which is unfortunate because there aren’t a lot of restaurants here in town. Though the food tasted great, given the reasons stated above I would think twice about ordering a pick up order here again. I have always had a good experience at the Plainfield location. Hopefully things improve here in the future.

Went for dinner sat down waited 15 minutes before we got a waitress. ordered our drinks and meal at same time to speed things up .then in hour then they brought us out as stuffed pizza which we ordered a thin pizza so she took it back to the kitchen, then brought it back about 10 minutes later and asked if we would eat the stuffed pizza because she made a mistake. Pizza no longer hot at this point but we didn’t have another hour to wait. Also my wife ordered pasta with NO Parmesan cheese. Got the meal with Parmesan all over the top. There was only 5 tables and 2 servers. Manager charged us for thin pizza at that point. He acted like he just didn’t care. As a restaurant owner I would think he would at least offered a discount or gift card for next visit. Nope he didn’t care. It is safe to say we will not be back or recommending it to anyone else.

Arrogant rude guy tending register. I think he was the manager. Pizza was eh. I tried the deep dish chicago style. Maybe their regular pizza is better. Mine did have good crust. Nice looking establishment. If the manager hadn't been rude I would probably have tried a regular pizza another time, but I spend my money where it is appreciated.
