Dr. Kevin Lai is an excellent family doctor. From the moment he entered the room Dr. Lai was kind, upbeat and provided excellent explanation, and recommendations. What a quality care giver who exudes compassion, confidence and extreme kindness. Highly recommend

This doctor shows individual approach to patients, respectfulness, he is very attentive and knowledgeable. Doctor Kevin Lai saved my life. When I came to him with my problem, he was very attentive and due to his experience found quick resolution. On the next day, even though my blood test was not completely ready, he connected with laboratory to find out the result; then called to my husband to pick up his directive for ER of hospital since any hour were counted to the bad end. The first words of doctor in hospital ER were: “you have a very good family doctor, he saved your life”. Thank you doctor Kevin Lai for saving my life.

Be aware that Dr Howard Schneider, Canadian doctor specializing in psychotherapy at Sheppard Associates is a wonderful brain coach for adults. He is not to be confused with Dr Schneider the infamous American dentist. The two are worlds apart. Subsequent to several concussions compounded by harassment in the workplace, and a psychiatrist in my local community hospital, whose treatment made me worse, when I was finally referred to Dr Schneider of Sheppard and Associates by my G.P., I was very depressed, feeling quite hopeless about my future, extremely anxious and unable to work. Dr Schneider ordered that a SPECT scan be performed on me and analyzed the results. He helped me to understand my brain. He recognized my post-trauma ADHD-like symptoms. He worked diligently with me using CBT, helping me let go of the hurts of the past, to embrace the present and look forward to the future. Dr Schneider helped me with my memory skills and taught me how to better handle stress. In May of this year I returned to work on a modified assignment that gently re-introduced to me to my work world. In September, 2015, I will be teaching full-time in my former school. Without Dr Schneider believing in me, I don't know whether I would ever have been able to reclaim my teaching vocation. I had gone from being recognized as a top teacher in Ontario in 2006 and 2007 to feeling like a waste of space. Now, like the phoenix that rises from its ashes, I feel reborn. I still get stress anxiety but I am able to work through that with support and am very happy to be re-embracing my vocation as a teacher. Dr Schneider understands that the brain is the seat of the soul. He deeply cares about the welfare of his patients and is an asset to his profession. He is the reason why I feel confident that I can reclaim my own sense of purpose and continue to contribute to my own profession. I am not afraid of being bullied in the workplace anymore. I know now that I can continue to make meaningful contributions to education as I did in the past and that I can continue to empower youths to become caring citizens. There are not enough words of praise for this fine physician. As far as I am concerned, he saved me. Because of him I am able again to lead a purposeful life coaching others to believe in themselves and be the best they can be. When I get worried about pitfalls on my path, I know Dr Schneider is available a a support person for me to continue coaching me on my journey towards reclaiming self-confidence.
