George S. Hughes South Side Arena

Nice small arena with overhead heaters. Hard bench style seating. Good view of rink from any spots. Parking in the front and plenty of parking on other side of the arena.

Old arena near Scona. Still functional. Amazing. Same from highschool.

Old city of Edmonton Arena. Bare Bones. No concession, so bring your coffees, snacks, etc. One thing I can say is you will be warm. It is an old shell arena, but the tube heaters are always on and will keep you toasty.

Entrance smells like a sweaty uncleaned hockey bag at the time of my visit. Looks like a well maintained facility for its purposes.

Unfortunately, there was an incident with the attending staff when requesting a key for the dressing room. This person was belligerent and unprofessional and did not take well to constructive criticism for their antics and abuse. Made a formal complaint with the city on behalf of our team. I'm not confident anything will be done. The facility is maintained but very dated. It's definitely a by-product of high demand for ice time. Dressing rooms are for children based on their setup and size, not adults playing hockey.
