George S. Hughes South Side Arena

I've been here a couple of times with kids for their ball hockey. It's a nice and clean place. The pavillion is big compared to the other one I've been to, Good number of parking around the arena.

This is an old barn but at least the heaters work! Dressing rooms are super small but the ice is great. I've never seen the concession open but I'd imagine it would be during peak times on weekends. Parking is ok, lots in the back. The front foyer can get pretty tight when before and after games.

I saw someone else also make this same complaint; the building is not wheelchair accessible. They also pushed all the snow from the road towards the curb so not only is it not wheelchair accessible my 11 year old son and I had to carry my 13 year old daughter in her wheelchair across the snow and onto the sidewalk. The automatic door never works therefore you are left struggling with one door that opens and it's barely wide enough to get a wheelchair through. There are then no ramps to access the stands. You cannot see the rink if you are someone in a wheelchair, you are stuck below freezing next to the main entrance. Thats pretty bad for 2026. I had to carry my disabled daughter up the stairs and through the stands and then hold her upright for the duration of her sibling's class. You can't even bother to have a single handicap parking spot. Its shameful. Do better.

Very old arena. Good ice for players to play on average viewing area for spectators no room in the lobby to wait for the players after the game and parking is really terrible.

Nice small arena with overhead heaters. Hard bench style seating. Good view of rink from any spots. Parking in the front and plenty of parking on other side of the arena.
