Absolute gem of a place. Recently just found out about this store and had to check it out. Took me two hours to get here from downtown and it was absolutely worth it. Love the owner, he makes you feel welcomed in his store and is genuinely interested in helping you with your trades or whatever games you're looking for or inquiries you might have- he's just an overall very nice very patient guy. He's just a one man army and he makes it work even if there are multiple customers in store. I would say out of all the game stores I've been in Toronto, he's the most fair with his trades and his prices.
Everything I could ever want in a video game store. Lots of selection especially of Wii U games! Awesome!, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and they sell also cards and other related memorabilia although I am less knowledgeable about this stuff. I have been in Scarborough for just a little less than a year, and this is my first time visiting, and I will definitely come back! Awesome store!
The store seems a tad bit cluttered and small but inventory seems to check out when it comes to Pokemon Cards! Staff are approachable and were adamant in letting me pick a Pokemon Lost Origins Booster Box of my choosing. Price was fair in comparison to competitors. Ended up with multiple hits + Giratina Alter Art so no worries in regards to any tampering with the box and packs from me. Would come back again!
Over priced and annoying to shop here. Looking at any game in this store they don't have a price tag on it so you have to ask the person at the computer. Just so they can give you the first or highest price they see off ebay or price chart. A game I was looking at is around 50$-60$ in other stores and online and they said it was 90$. Wanna just look at what games they have, too bad that good half of their inventory is behind and at the bottom of the shelfs where it's difficult to see. If you go here please do your research on a reasonable price before going in, if you they give you a fair price then fine but know there are other options not far from this place.
I easily found everything I was looking for, and the owner is very friendly and helpful. Really nice layout, and a really cool collection of toys and games! I would definitely return.
I called GameSwap looking for a cable for my original xbox console to connect to the current LED TV via HDMI and the owner of the store found a solution to this issue. The store owner was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you for your assistance!
Bought a Xbox one and controller from here a while ago, the staff was super helpful and the store has a lot of games and cards. You could spend a long time looking at everything and I was able to find a few games I was looking for but could find anywhere else.
No prices on games. Asked about a price on one game. Gave me a price of $55. Market price is $40. So that’s almost a 38% markup price. So instead of pay $55 I went to Retro bros for $40.
My son and I come here often, as he is into pokemon cards. Every single time we've been to the store they have been nothing but kind and patient. My son takes his time looking at the cards. We never feel rushed, they are genuinely happy to help their customers. The prices are fair and reasonable. Great gem of a place. Always enjoy our visits.
Huge selection of all types of videos games. The staff was extremely friendly and the prices were fair. Even if you don't buy anything the store is worth checking out if you're into video games, you never know what you will find.
