Galway Bay Irish Pub

I Stayed in Ocean Shores for Labor Day weekend. I was looking for a good breakfast place upon leaving on Tuesday morning and was told about the Porthole Pub from one of the locals. Nothing fancy about this place just your average little town Bar and Grill, but man did they have some great breakfast. I ordered the 2 by 2 by 2 with the sausage links, 2 eggs 2 pancakes and 2 of the best and biggest sausage links I've ever had. Next time when I'm in town I'll definitely stop in for another awesome breakfast meal. Also the server and service was awesome. :-)

I liked this place. The atmosphere was good, food selection was decent and so was the local beer selection. Out group has the Guinness beef stew which was a solid choice. The stew was hardy with a good amount of meat and potatoes. Our group also ordered the fish and chips. The fish was good and so was the Tatar sauce. Onion rings were also pretty good. Service was quick and friendly and the bar was packed. I would recommend this place.

Food is still good but the prices continue to increase which makes it almost not worth a stop on the annual visit to Ocean Shores any longer. The ambiance is still terrific and on weekends they still usually have live Irish music. I love the gift shop, which is a mandatory stop. They have one of a kind Irish gifts and music you can't find anywhere else.

Great all round experience. We ate in the family dining room, had to wait 20 minutes for our table, but it was worth it. Cat, our waitress, was fun, friendly, and super helpful. Food was excellent, especially the fish and chips.

Awesome place, pub, restaurant and nice cigar selection. Love it... But then the service was awfully slow. We waited a while to get seated without being acknowledged, got our drinks and food reasonably quickly but then were forgotten. We asked two separate people for our check and finally walked up to the counter/bar area. The lady took the card while we were standing there, then continued to run around serving others. It was really frustrating. When we had asked a different gentleman, his response was "I can't do everything." Was really disappointed because somebody raved about it, I hope they were very understaffed. Regardless, there was no communication. While there, some others left because they weren't acknowledged at the door.
