Breakwater Seafoods & Chowder

Easily some of the best seafood we've had! We shared a quart (!) of chowder, full of potato chunks and large clams, along with a 4-piece cod and chips. The fish was breaded and cooked perfectly and the fries were excellent. We also had a peanut butter "Nanaimo Bar," which is more than worth the $1.49 we paid for it. Service is quick and friendly. Late morning on a Sunday and this place was fairly full!

This place was from the moment we walked in was Friendly and fat service. The place in general was very clean and neat. Food was fresh fast. Hot and really Delicious. Definitely a home run if you like great seafood. Gotta go try this place.....HURRY!!!!!

This place is hands down a 5 star rating. We were there for lunch and had the best clam chowder of my life. The two ladies behind the counter were super helpful and friendly. My wife had fried oysters and loved them as well. We will stop by every time we are in town and the least bit hungry.

Good fish fry place. Pictures on line of the outside are a little dated. And I was annoyed by bees outside. I had a seafood platter which had calamari, cod, shrimp and scallops - Delicious! Food was crisp and crunchy, not oily at all. Employees were friendly, curteous and helpful. Tables were clean and spaced well. Bathrooms, also, were clean and spaced well. Plenty of easy to use street parking.

So satisfied with our choice to go here!! It was $11 for the grilled crab & cheese sandwich (phenominal!!) and $12 for a fish and chips basket (also amazing!) Price is definitely justified by the great taste and freshness. (Everything came with fries. Its $2.19 for a large drink but you get free refills) Our food came out in about 5 minutes, hot and fresh, and not greasy at all! Staff was helpful as heck and the place is so cute. Inside/outside seating options with a cute little view. Will absolutely go again :)
