Clarks Restaurant

To start the food was really good, huge portions. The chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn and salad that I ordered could have fed a family of three. The grilled cheese sandwich my girlfriend had so much cheese she ate only the outer crust. It looked like a squirrel had attacked it. The atmosphere is also great but for entertainment purposes only. From the very dead potted flowers outside our window​, the chandeliers with four different bulbs hanging a tad askew, the deer hooves gun rake with built in mirror and at least four security cameras...that we could see. The list goes on. The two of us found it very amusing. With all that WAS visible I was a little scared what was possibly going on in the kitchen. A possible tummy ache a few hours from now will tell. The sign out front said Biscuits and Gravy All Day. With their Drive-up window you are guaranteed to have a rib sticking meal on wheels for many many miles. To be honest we enjoy small out of the way places like this and get a kick out of the memories they give us.

The food at Clark's is some of the best I have had my husband and I split a burger, fries, and a shake. It was definitely plenty to eat. We got our daughter some MAC and cheese bites which were amazing. The service was great, warm and friendly. We sat at a table outside because we had our dog with us, they even brought my pup a bowl of water! 😊

If you're hungry and you're driving by you would be totally screwing yourself IF you don't pull off for a bite to eat @ this restaurant! Try a milk shake or burger or both. Maybe toss a fried egg on that burger and some garlic fries. They make their own ice cream too and only have vanilla but it's the best. The

The shake was amazing, the clam chowder had my heart, then the fries let me down. They are big home fries but not crispy enough to be really satisfying. Clam chowder though. If they have it, you should get this for sure.

It took over 30 minutes to just get drinks and another 20 for our food to arrive. The soup and salad arrived at the same time as the entrees. The clam chowder had a strange sweetness to it. We tried to fix it with hot sauce to no avail. The only clam chowder we've never liked. The Salad was just really cold iceburg lettuce with olives and croutons dumped on top with a splash of dressing. My husband opened the ketchup which somehow was pressurized and got ketchup all over himself. He closed it and when I went to use it, it popped again. Under the lid looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Then the main course; our kids had fish and chips and a hotdog and seemed to like it. My husband had the Reuben and said it was decent. I had the Seafood platter. The menu says it includes; fish, clam strips and prawns. They were out of clam strips, which was fine they substituted coconut prawns. The fish was ok the coconut prawns were decent but one of the regular prawns was raw! We brought it to the waitresses attention and she said they come precooked. Hmm not sure how it's raw then? (It still was somewhat translucent with gray on it.) We were planning on getting dessert but opted to stop at Dairy Queen on our way home. At least there we know what we'll get.
