This place was a hype several years ago. Finally tried it and it didn't disappoint. The pancakes were light and fluffy but surprisingly filling. It tastes as good as it looks.nnWe ordered the signature and fruit forest. We truly enjoyed it as the taste wasn't overly sweet and not bland at all.nThe fruit forest was $18 pre-tax, which is a bit steep. If the pancakes were around $13-15 it would be ideal.nnThe atmosphere was very spacious and simple. There are around 6 tables and counter seating area. There is a lot of space between the tables for a more asethetics vibe. Perfect spot for a group of 4 or couples date.
During my visit, it looks like the store is now under a new management. The food was great. For the price I paid, I got fresh and big strawberries in my pancake and generous portions. Plating is well made too!nnThe store is clean and washrooms are well maintained. Staff are friendly and very patient.nnI highly recommend this Fuwa Fuwa location. I'm definitely going to visit again!
This was my first time trying Japanese pancakes and I was not disappointed. I got the pancakes with fresh fruit and a coffee. It was soft, light and fluffy. The staff were lovely and the coffee was fantastic as well.
The location is very convenient. There is a free parking lot in front of the store. You have to wait 25-30 minutes after placing the order. I tried several types of food, and each one was delicious and beautifully presented. The only fly in the ointment is that more attention needs to be paid to cleaning the seats.
Came around noon on a Sunday and there was a 25 min wait for the Japanese pancakes because they served all the first batch for breakfast. I think I've been coming here once a year. I like it here better than the pop up in STC. It's nice and quiet in store. Ordered the blueberry cheese this time with sauce on the side. Really liked the hojicha espresso latte but don't expect latte art. If you've tried to make these at home you know the process is a tad tricky so come here for them instead.
