I’m a regular customer at fujis. I always place my order online same thing all the time because the food is always great! Portions are great trays are full and let me tell you it’s not cheap. Today I placed my order online arrived right on time. My order was not ready had to wait 25 more minutes for it which is fine if you want quality food. I order fried rice 1/2 portion will more like half of that bowl was full lol half was missing. My sunny side for 2 was not full like I always get my tray was not the same looked like it wasn’t a full order of noodles or half was missing Idk if I’ll be back been coming for years and it’s always great. Today not so great after spending around 130.00 bucks on dinner. And not getting the correct portion size. Like I know they were extremely busy but they should not be handing out half portion size meals.
Most of the rolls are covered in mayo based sauces and the plain nigiri and maki rolls were not made with good quality fish. It's also a very loud restaurant it was a Saturday night. Our server was very nice and attentive though.
Happy Valley, I can see why this spot is so busy! This place was on my list and I’m glad we made the trip! From the moment we walked in and throughout our dining experience everything clicked.nService was great - from our table request, to taking our order, to delivering our order in moderation and not all at once.nFood was what we expected since it was busy! Kudos to the Sushi Chef’s for working under the gun and still managing to deliver us presentation you should be proud of!nAtmosphere is what you make of it and we really enjoyed our evening. I've had good experiences in the past at Fuji's. The cooks are fun to watch and the food is great usually. The last 2 times it's been mediocre. Over done chicken that is definitely not a quality piece. Steak was bland and chewy. We ended up ordering it as take out this last time and the order was messed up ordered fried rice and got noodles instead which neither me or my wife liked and the seared salmon nigiri was fully cooked instead of seared. The chicken was again, very over cooked same with the steak. For the price, I would expect better.
Exceptional food and service. Delicious and beautiful sushi that is still reasonably priced. The chef does not only create delicious rolls, but makes them into works of art- our taste buds and eyes were very pleased. They even had gluten free tempura :
