Went to Fuji Ramen for the first time today. The place was packed at 12:30 on a wintery Wednesday. Good sign. The staff were courteous and professional. The menu was choc full of choices. The food came out fast looking great and tasting even better. I have been underwhelmed by a few places these days, but not Fuji Ramen. Overall a very pleasant dining experience.
Whenever my partner and I visit Calgary, this is the first place we go to every time! This is THE BEST ramen and sushi I've ever had in my entire life. It's been over 6 months since my last visit and I'm STILL thinking about it. I recommend this place to anyone I can. Everything is very fresh and delicious! The staff is very kind and attentive! If you're visiting Calgary, make sure this is one of the places you stop at. A must try for anyone! And be sure to save room for dessert. The fried ice-cream is to die for!
Awesome place to get Japanese food. It has become our favorite place for Ramen in Calgary. The Red Fuji Ramen is the best! Spicy and delicious! The deep fried sushi is also very good. The service is always awesome, everyone is happy here!
It's all about that "Broth"!!!. This family owned restaurant has been satisfying palates of all types since opening in an unpredictable pandemic. But the family secret, dedication, and perseverance trumped it all. The ambiance is casual flare and family orientated. Attention to detail and sense of pride is overflowing at the restaurant, which is reflected on to the food and overall dining experience!!! Fresh ingredients, creative ideas and presentation was on-point!! We started with the Fuji Onigiri. This is an absolute must try, excellent value and absolutely delicious I could literally eat 5 of these triangle flavour bombs!. Rock n’ shrimp another well presented and well done dish. Chicken Karaage was fresh and tender. For rolls we tried the Butterfly not pictured and volcano roll both very fresh and delicious. You can tell the broth is a labour of love. Velvety smooth and has a complexity of flavours to complement the meat and vegetables bringing the dish together with ample amount of noodles. Not one drop was left behind. Service was fantastic, everyone was very attentive and friendly! Definitely will be a regular patron and returning to try the rest!!
Finally got to visit this place and was relatively disappointed. Service was top notch 5/5 Ordered 4 things 1. Seafood Ramen +1 Egg = 4/5 2. Sandoitchi = 1/5, it literally had a sliver of filling Crab/Avocado 3. Volcano Roll = 1/5, there was basically a tablespoon worth of Fish See pictures attached 4. Outsider Roll = 1/5, Not exactly a giant roll, but similar to the comments of 2/3, they basically give you just a lot of rice, even inside the roll. Taste wise, it's OK, but definitely a let down considering the quantity sushi/sashimi of their rolls.
Had the most amazing experience today, it was my husband’s birthday and the owner and team made sure he felt extremely special. Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious, the battleship maki was my favourite! Will visit again for sure!
A friend recommended the place and decided to check it out. First, the food is really good. I am deciding to try all their ramens now. Second, the atmosphere is good. Love the decorations and wall paintings. Third, the service is amazing. I believe the owner, or manager, was there and she is super friendly and approachable. Totally recommend coming for the food, atmosphere and staff.
Nice and cozy Japanese restaurant. It can accommodate about 50 people. The place was clean. Lots of food options to choose from with reasonable price. We ordered Okonomiyaki to share, but unfortunately it wasn’t our liking. I didn’t like the cheese and the batter was too thick. We also ordered Chasu Ramen and Medium spiced Fuji Red Tonkatsu Ramen. Servings were big, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the broth was tasty. However, I found the broth too oily as you can tell from the attached photos. Also, the Medium Spiced Red Ramen wasn’t spicy at all. Overall, we had a good experience, the server was also very attentive and answered our inquiries patiently. I’ll try their sushi and other shareables next time.
I went to Fuji Ramen twice this week because it was so amazing! I had the Black Fuji Tonkotsu Ramen and it was so delicious. The pork just melted in my mouth and I love that it was a full egg, not just half an egg like at some other ramen places. I went back later in the week with my kids and I love that kids are not an afterthought there. They had training chopsticks, kids utensils, fun colouring sheets and markers. The food again was delicious. The owner was so great with my kids and super accommodating! I will definitely be back again.
Great experience overall. The ramen we ordered was excellent. The broth was not salty at all. I ordered the curry ramen so that was mind blowing. Great hint of spices and the curry was not overpowering. I also ordered the onigiri as well. Definitely one to try out. Aside from the great food, is the service. When you go to a place that makes you feel welcome like family. This restaurant is the perfect example and you feel right at home. The manager who was also our server, provided excellent service to our group. She would have a conversation to us and also fill our waters as well. We been looking for a good ramen place in the south since we been going to downtown often so having a gem in the south has definitely made a staple where good ramen is close to home. Great job to the Fuji ramen team!! You will definitely see us soon.
