This is such a hidden gem in Calgary. I was amazed as soon as I arrived. The restaurant was nicely decorated and it felt like the authentic restaurants in Japan. I was lucky to get a table quickly because I made a reservation in advance. The restaurant was really spacious and the seating was comfortable. Their lunch menu was very attractive and the price was very affordable considering the inflation from Covid. The food quality and service was excellent. There is no complaint at all. I wish I can visit more often and try everything on their menu. Will definitely revisit when I am in town next time.

Have you ever had a dining experience where you simultaneously want to tell everyone but also keep it a secret?  The food here is incredible, fresh, well-balanced, and innovative. Aesthetics were the best I’ve seen in awhile, Japanese minimalist but modern and inviting. The open kitchen concept and sushi bar adds both visual interest and energy, and impressive in how the team works together. But what was over the top, and what makes it my #1 pick in Calgary, was the stellar service - Megan is so kind and friendly, and Andy made us feel special. It’s in the south but absolutely worth it for the experience. I would NOT miss out on this one.

We had an amazing experience here! The interior design was beautiful and atmosphere was nice. We went to try out their signature dishes at dinner - everything was so delicious and well presented! The portion was generous too. We also love their selection of Japanese sake and cocktails. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Overall, Ryuko takes creative Japanese cuisine to the next level and we are so happy to find this kind of cool restaurant in Calgary!

Had a memorable meal here. It seems to be a retrofitted house and as soon as you step inside the unassuming simple black exterior, the interior atmosphere opens up and becomes very modern and stylish. It felt like I was in a coffee shop or something in between. Very spacious and clean with simple use of materials and lighting. Service was great and provided good recommendations. The food was clean and well presented and was fun to eat as some dishes encouraged diner participation; it could get a little messy if you're not careful.  Parking: Lots of parking outside in the plaza parking lot.

Wonderful experience, great food & love that they have a happy hour! The chicken Katsu was my favourite . The interior design is beautiful, centred around a sushi bar & very spacious. The server was very knowledgeable, kind & attentive. We really appreciated him explaining the best way to experience our food & making great suggestions. Will definitely be back!

I went by Ryuko for a little snack and fell in love with the atmosphere and the food! Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The sashimi was fresh not frozen then thawed, the dessert and cocktails were delicious. The interior design has an open concept with wonderful decor and ceramics for the dishes. Looking forward to going back for the full course meal soon!

Came here for lunch this week. We had such an  , I was truly impressed with the     and service we received. I do recommend trying out the   - you get to taste a bit of everything from the menu, however this must be preordered in advance. Definitely book your    here!

Find a gem in the south. The food is excellent. Sushi is fresh, good portion and plating. Service is excellent. Didn't book the table on Saturday at 6 pm, just try my luck and they still get me a table. Server Alan explain the detail of each plate. Should come here early. For sure will keep coming here.

Absolutely amazing dinner and service! My new top favorite sushi place. The rolls were amazing. The sushi nigiri was so fresh and the appetizers were so delightful. The drinks were also so refreshing and absolutely loved the dessert. On top of that the service was also great! Dobby was attentive and friendly and just gave us the greatest service even though they were busy tonight. Cannot wait to try other items on the menu! Stopped by on Friday night at 8pm. One day prior to the grand opening. We had a pleasent experience, the food was good, enjoyed the drinks and our server was knowledgeable and tentative.  Pleaently surprised that they had a happy hour which started at 9PM and lined with our drinks :D  Looking forward to adding Ryuko to one of the places we will regularly stop by :
