The tacos were good and flavourful! The burrito bowl was also okay. The music we felt was a little too loud but that’s okay since it’s the vibe of the place. The staff was welcoming and hospitable. A good Saturday night spent here!
I would come here for the experience and atmosphere but probably not for the food. I had the tacos which were nice and good value but lacked a bit of flavour and punch. My partner had a burrito and we aren't sure if it said it was spicy on the menu but it was almost inedible and she's good with spice. Maybe put that spicy sauce on the side as it ruined the burrito which otherwise would have been really nice. So I would recommend it to anyone who wants a fun night with music and a buzzing atmosphere but wouldn't if you are looking for above average flavours.
I don’t get any of the reviews about the food being bad. This place is legit. Chicharon tacos were top notch. Fat is nicely rendered. Pork belly is cooked with care and respect. Carne Asada was nicely seasoned with a nice crust that steak lovers should be accustomed to, but not used to having in a taco. We customized some tacos for my 7 year old and he loved them. Visiting from Georgetown. We will be back
Located on a busy street surrounded by many varieties, I checked this place out based on the reviews. Inside, there were a live band performing, minimal crowd but as the night went on, it got busier. The dark mood lighting added to the ambiance. The service was quick, they even played Selena Quintanilla upon request in between live performances. I tried the sexy birrah tacos and they did not disappoint. Accompanied with a beef stew and hot sauce, the sauce really contributed to the over all flavour but came packing heat woh! It was spicy.. The pepper/salt wings were also delicious paired with crispy fries and bbq sauce.
Fun spot with a collection of options for Mexican food. Good selection of tacos but personally the burritos and quesodillia were the highlights. Recommend the platter with a burrito and two quesos for anyone visiting l.Food: 5/5
Came across this place while we were walking around queen west. The staff are really nice and welcoming. The pricing is really worth it! 2 tacos for 8.99! I got the quesabirria and friend got pupusas and steak tacos the server was really helpful with recommendations. I loved the quesabirria! It was loaded with tender beef and cheese, onion and cilantro on top, lime too. It's very filling and comes with consomé on the side and this crazy hot sauce that will light your mouth on fire I love hot sauces and spicy food and can tell you this is the real good stuff. It's messy so be prepared for that, they give you wet wipes and napkins so you're all set. The vibe of the place is really nice and great spot to hang out with friends. They have Jarritos which I love sipping on since I don't drink. I liked eating here and already recommending to friends.
we had to go chorizo tacos and birria. service is great, we went not a peak hours so wait time for to go is short. My first time to try their food but not my friend. Birria is ok but disappointed with chorizo it jst taste like a simple ground pork. My friend had warned me that food is so-so but i want to tried it myself and see.. i guess he proves it right or i might just have picked a wrong choice.
Just received an order that included 2 chicken fajita bowls. Like many reviewers on here, they replaced the salsa, veggies and tomatoes with peas and carrots?? How is this considered a fajita bowl?? Guess they just use whatever is on hand because they know we can't return it. On top of that, it was inedible. Pretty sure the chicken is past due. The tacos were tasteless and meat overcooked. This was my second chance at this place. Never again. Go elsewhere. Edit: as someone else stated, it's clear that the owner is unhinged. Never complained in other venues and even with proof that clearly shows zero veggies, tomatoes and salsa, they're still saying it's there lol also they're replying to other complaining of the same thing but claiming they're from me cause they experienced the same thing I did on the same day. So instead of taking accountability being it's obvious they cheap out on their orders, they're doing this instead. They need help.
Birria is pretty good. Burritos are awful. 2 times now I’ve ordered and experienced a dry, poorly wrapped burrito with barely any condiments and no guacamole even though I paid for it. Weak. Picture is halfway through the burrito, first half was all rice and beans.
Very nice Mexican food spot. They also offer birria now, which tastes great! Recommend :
