Management seems completely out of touch with reality. Prices have gone up so much that they’re now competing with places like Costco and Winners, which defeats the purpose of shopping second-hand.nOn top of that, many of the items are in poor condition, shouldn’t even be offered for sale. Electronics are being sold without basic testing, and some items don’t even work. It used to be a nice store only a few years ago. Very disappointing.
Very disappointed in my visit at this location today.nI came here to buy some jewellery and I wanted to see their selection. Anytime I go to a Renaissance I could buy at least 10 pairs of earrings in a little Ziploc for three dollars here I am at this location and the general manager ordered their employees to individually separate every single pair of earrings so now even rusty pair of earrings are valued at $4.95 I think that’s extreme!nI’ve never seen a Renaissance do thisnI asked for the general manager right away, and I told him that this wasn’t right and then his excuse was that it’s a touristic areanThen I stated that Rosemont is right next-door and we have the same tax percentage as they do so there’s absolutely no excuse for them to be individually wrapping their jewellery like thisnKeep in mind this is all costume jewellery nothing’s real nothing stainless. This is all stuff made out of seashells plastic resin nothing of value here.nAnyWho, I’m very sad that this is what it’s come to although they had a beautiful selection I wasn’t about to pay five dollars each for some rusty pair of earrings just to go on vacationnThat being said is the last time I come herennUpdate I purchased a $14 bag from you guys and it was all broken items! Not one useable pair of earrings. I immediately went there and voiced my frustration and went ahead and purchased Another $15 bag and ripped it open in front of the clerk so I made sure I wasn’t gonna get another broken item bag $30 in the hole and I only got one pair of useable earrings And three necklaces That were broken nI went ahead and started looking at other locations anjou, mtl north, downtown , point au trembles , and Masson ALL Provide baggies with multiple items inside. Now for you to have the audacity to respond and tell me, oh it’s because some people can’t afford the baggies dude you’re charging five dollars a bag baggie for one pair of earrings no kidding! I’m asking you to be realistic, going to post a picture of another location in this four dollar baggie I got 20 Pairs of earrings.nDon’t insult me when I’m asking you to be realistic with your pricesnAll those five dollar items don’t have the boutique sticker Stop ripping these people offnYou’re lucky you even have one star
Decent selection, clean and organized most of the time except further into the weekend. Employees are friendly and service is good, with some hiccups. Nicer picks than other Renaissances if you can manage to get them before they’re picked through it’s a popular branch!, noticeably a majority of donations from the Plateau area.
As a second-hand store, there are many kinds, but I don't think the price should be upgraded, because they are different from the new ones, but the store is very good.
By far the absolute worst renaissance I’ve ever been to. I shop almost exclusively for vintage items, art, glassware It used to be passable before the renovation but now? I’ve gone in once a week for the past 2 months as well as many times before that and every single time it has been a waste of time. Maybe it’s okay for clothing sometimes but otherwise the stock selection is awful, the store is way too cramped etc etc etc. I have hesitated every time to write this review but I think I’ve finally had enough. This ones going on the blacklist.
