I’m a big fan of FreshCo., especially this location. The store is large, and the wide aisles make shopping a breeze. However, the international food section here could use more stock and variety compared to other location on Dupont, so I often find myself visiting both. I like the produce section it's always tidy and overall, my experiences here over the years have been consistently positive. Plenty of free parking right in front.
I wanted to make a Greek salad and went to pickup some small tomatoes. I was a little surprised at the costs in that store thinking it was more than loblaws. Whatever. I picked up the grape tomatoes and brought them home only to realize the whole clamshell of them were bad. Every single tomato was shrivelled, black mouldy spots and not edible. I won’t go back.nCheck your produce there… expensive and bad.
I love the little gems you would find for 50% off in this branchnI didn't like the produce I got from here sadly.nThe cashiers I dealt with were really nice.
I recently visited FreshCo Dundas & Runnymede at 3400 Dundas St W, York, ON M6S 2S1, and was highly disappointed with the condition of the store, particularly the cleanliness. The washroom was extremely unsanitary, with fecal matter visible and a pervasive, unbearable odor. The cleanliness issues extended beyond the washroom; there was also poop on the floor in the food aisles.nnWhile shopping, I noticed a staff member arranging products but failing to address or even acknowledge the mess. Upon reporting the issue to the manager, I was informed that the area had been cleaned the previous night, and it was claimed that customers had made it dirty again. The manager also mentioned that maintaining constant oversight was challenging.nnOverall, this experience was very unsettling and unprofessional. Such conditions are unacceptable in a food retail environment, and the lack of immediate response to cleanliness issues indicates a significant lapse in store maintenance and customer care.
I've been shopping here for years and they always have great prices. The problem is in the last couple of years, nothing is fresh. Veggies are always gone bad and still left on the shelves. Also, do not buy your meat here. I've had multiple occasions when I buy meat and it has gone bad before the expiry date. Just yesterday I bought 2 cous cous salads and opened today and its gone bad. I think I need to start shopping elsewhere.
