French Meadow Bakery & Cafe

Been here several times before. There are several locations, and this one on Lyndale is close to lots of retail shops and restaurants. There are plenty of seating options, including patio seating outside, indoor seating by the coffee area, or a more formal sit-down dining area with servers.nnUsually there is a line to place an order, but this time it was quiet. To order, they have a large wall-mounted menu board, or hard copy menus you can study at your table. The pastry case on the left as you approach the cashier is filled with croissants, muffins, scones, and other baked goods, with plenty of amazing choices. To the right are the more formal desserts, including cakes, tortes, and tarts.nnI ordered a London Fog Tea Latte little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam. Normally I would get it in a mug, but we had to dash off. The barista did a nice job with steeping the tea and creating the extra foam. Next time we will stay for breakfast.nnA very nice place for breakfast, big or small.

Today, my husband and I stopped by the French Meadow Bakery & Cafe at 2610 Lyndale Ave. S. We shared and enjoyed a warmed Ham and Gruyère Croissant $6. My husband had a Cinnamon Pull Apart $5.50 and I had a Maple Pecan Scone $4.50; both were excellent. Staff were friendly and cheerful and, with our request, gave us plenty of napkins for our take-out order. We enjoyed our stop and definitely plan to return.

French Meadow is incredible! The food feels real, down-to-earth, and truly made with love and attention. Everything tastes authentic, and there’s such a wonderful variety to choose from—something for every taste. Their tomato basil soup is hands-down the best I’ve ever had—rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates genuinely good food!

I love a good breakfast burrito. This is the first time I've have one smothered in chili. This is a veggie breakfast burrito and as such has a veggie taste. The eggs and hash browns inside the burrito were cooked well. I'll add meat the next time I order.

Great menu with many choices. There’s outdoor seating right now although one of their patios that’s known for it’s beautiful atmosphere and flowers was closed. Hopefully it will reopen. The service was fantastic and friendly. The tuna melt was good and I enjoyed the Thai soup. I’ll go back in hopes to check out that other patio.
