A great spot to stop on the way through for amazing halibut fish and chips! This is obviously a local favourite with friendly waitstaff and a nice outdoor space. We shared the 2 pc 6 oz fish and chip and it was plenty. Spicy Calamari was also good.
Amazing service in a traditional harbour pub full of local fishers serving delicious burgers, homemade soups and fish and chips right from the nearby ocean! Walk afterwards around the quaint harbour admiring the commercial fishing fleet.
One of the best lobster mac and cheese dishes I've had. Halibut fish and chips. Everything Very tasty. Very friendly staff. Located near an active fisherman pier and a fresh fish market.
Nice service , great location , usual pub ambience , pricy . Expensive halibut fish and chips and halibut burger was just ok. The battered halibut for the burger seems refried and so crusty. Delicious coleslaw.
Nice Marina best fish n chips I've ever had .The sizing of portions is insanely huge .I'm glad I ordered only 1 piece .There is outdoor seating as well pricing is good .Great ambience and service also good .
Delicious halibut and chips, very accommodating and friendly staff who went out of their way to meet our needs. A must stop when visiting Parksville.
New owners. Fish and chips is not the same as before. Has a 2 inch thick crust of batter. Way over priced. Won't be going there again. Just my opinion but why change what ain't broken. Haven't tried anything else just the fish and chips. Kinda sad loved that place.
Not sure if it's a matter of their pending closure or just an off day, but the fish within my "fish fingers" escaped the deep fryer or has swam back upstream before they reached my plate. They were 90% batter. As for my wife's hamburger, she said it was the best she has had. When it came to service - well enough said.
Long time since I visited, nice barkeep named John. To the new owners: You took down Crazy Corner!! Would have been a nice nod to those of us whose names were on it that continue to support 'The Boar's Head' and for the past 25 years. I hear the new owner couldn't wait to chainsaw it down. Just not the same. Not to say it isn't better in some ways, the place has a huge history which should have been acknowledged somehow.
Pub food with good Fish'n'chips. Short staffed a lot of the time so expect waits. Despite staffing problems the servers are doing an excellent job…hope they're getting compensated properly. They need a better beer menu and they're closed too much.
