Story

Traditional English Pub styled restaurant, found nestled in the woods of Parksville's Beach Acres Resort. Enjoy our wood-burning fireplaces and picturesque ocean views while savoring a home-made meal. Wash your dinner down with one of 13 draft beers, 8 of which we import from the UK, or a glass of one of our many local wines. Couple this with an amazing atmosphere, and wonderful staff, the Black Goose Inn will certainly be Parksville's hidden treasure this summer.

Location Location Location. Being in the heart of resort row in Parksville, we expected prices to be reflective of this, and they were. 2 pies, 2 10 oz beers, and 1 Caesar $95.00 including tax and tip The Location, and the pub itself were awesome, the service was fast efficient and friendly. The pies were delicious, beer was great, Caesar, was too. I would rate 5 stars, but I found the value for money a bit lacking.

With Friendly staff and a great local beer selection this is a perfect place for an afternoon pint. The Pub also has a nice garden with views of the ocean. The food is more on the pricey side but with views like this all is forgiven.

Good restaurant in a historic house at rathtrevor beach  . It has parking and beach entrance.  Indoor and outdoor dining.   Free wifi and free refills on soft drinks .  Tons of good options for everyone tastes including  tons of vegetarian, vegan options  . Full Menu included in photos below

Nice place to visit, large outdoor area, which can get busy. Prices on the higher side if your coming from up island. But thats the tourists for you. Liquor tax is on top of menu price. $25 ish on their various meat pies. Easy parking.

Loved the Black Goose! Old England charm in a character house overlooking the water. Food was delicious, the servers were happy to be there and happy to serve us. Must visit!!

So our lovely waitress AMY, took the best care of us. It was Kevin’s birthday and we started with deep fried dill pickles and jalapeño poppers. Then we had the BEST fish and chips EVER! Amy surprised Kevin with a sticky toffee pudding and a sparkler. When we were all finished our fabulous meal we asked for the bill… Amy said…and I quote! “I just got off the phone with Richard! Your Birthday dinner is all paid for!” Our son had called to wish Dad a happy birthday and we happened to be at the Black Goose Inn. Our bratty son called Amy and paid for our dinner. All the way from his Excavator in Edmonton. It made our eyes leak. Amy was one of the best servers we have ever encountered! Kudos to the kitchen. The portions were perfect and the food was delicious. I would give 10 stars to this place!

At $25 per barely-stuffed lunch-sized pie with fries or salad, this place felt overpriced. The vintage-style decor is cool and outdoor seating with bay views is probably fun in the summer but our food and service were underwhelming. I'd go back for a drink to sit outside on a nice day, that's all.

A little expensive but a million dollar view. Great service and good pub food. Traditional shepherds pie and Innis and Gunn  on tap. Who could ask for anything more?

A beautiful pub with a view of the ocean. Cosy in the winter with fireplaces and a great patio for the summer. Reminds me of being in the English countryside! We come here every time we are in town and are always excited about it!Food: 5/5

Good food, amazing view, fun live music and friendly staff. What else you need? I wish I could go there every weekend.
