Generously portioned and reasonably priced. Fish was fresh and tasty. The perfect meal to take out to eat at a park on a nice day. People who love Chirashi bowls have to come here!
Service was quick! We got takeout and didn't have to wait too long. If you want a lot of fresh, tasty fish, get the chirashi bowl. It definitely satisfies any sushi cravings and is a big portion with a lot of delicious fish.Food: 5/5
Whenever I come to Fremont Bowl I always get the Salmon don. The salmon is always so fresh and tasty and salmon is my favorite! I’ve tried pieces of fish and other dishes from my friends and everything has been really good. Food The salmon don is my absolute favorite dish and what I get every single time. The salmon is super tasty and presented so cleanly on the rice bowl. The wasabi on top is super cute too! The chirashi bowl and volcano bowl all tasted very fresh and good as well. The presentation is pleasing to the eye as well. Atmosphere A small restaurant with some seating but still pretty limited. A casual and clean spot to greet some fish tucked away in the Fremont neighborhood. Pricing The prices are a little bit on the pricier side compared to other restaurants that do chirashi, poke, or dons. The quality is well worth the price point though. Service My most recent visit was take out and that experience was good and smooth. I’ll revisit this if I dine in. Other Limited parking on the street.
I am a regular patron of Fremont Bowl. Even though they have been slowly hiking up their prices the price for the chiraishi has grown $2 since the beginning of the pandemic, I still go there once every two weeks. However, recently it has become obvious that they are slacking on quality. The portion sizes on the fish have steadily gotten smaller each time, and I have tried to overlook it. My last order was the last straw. The chiraishi is described as a medley of, "tuna, chopped fatty tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, shrimp, eel, masago." And at its peak, it truly was; go marvel at other users' photos. But my last order contained mostly salmon, with a few sad pieces of discolored tuna. I ate the eel before I took the photo, oops. I was sad to see my favorite yellowtail nowhere to be found. I would've been understanding if the restaurant notified me that they were not able to use the usual ingredients. They have plenty of other delicious dishes. For instance, their teriyaki chicken is underrated IMO. Instead, they chose to skimp on quality and take my money. It is incredibly disappointing that I have to write this review given how much I enjoyed them in the past. I think it is only fair that I share this experience so that other customers know that the once great Fremont Bowl may no longer meet their expectations.
It currently takes out only, due to the COVID. However, the food is very decent. Sashimi is fresh enough and it's not expensive at all!
Good quality for the cheaper price. Don’t expect Michelin quality but above average quality fish. Long lines so I would suggest to pick up beforehand. Order the chirashi bowl and take to gasworks park afterwards for a great day!
The worst experience having short ribs Yakiniku don ever. Half of the short ribs only had bones. I guess either they ran out of short ribs or just put remnants of short ribs to the don. It's very disappointing having this after waiting for more than 1.5 hours. I emailed them, and they only apologized without giving me any compensation or partial refund, even we know it's an obvious problem with my food.
We arrived before noon on Friday to get a table, there were two available. Really fresh fish on rice and the unagi eel was substantial. There are more bowls for us to try like the tofu teriyaki.
One of the best Poke bowl I have ever tried. The portion is big with fresh varieties of sashimi.
I haven’t had many poke bowls and Sophia was very helpful with letting me know how it worked. She guided me to the Salmon Poke rice bowl - LOVE! Generous portions with quality ingredients. The whole staff seemed like they enjoyed working together too. Can’t wait to go back! Currently only take out. No dine in
