Sushi Kanpai is hands down the best sushi spot in the area. As a local resident, I can confidently say that I have never once had a bad experience there. The quality of the food is consistently amazing, and the variety of sushi options is impressive. I have been a regular customer for about a year and have never once been disappointed. The sushi chefs are skilled and always make sure that the fish is fresh and expertly prepared. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a casual night out with friends or a romantic dinner. I highly recommend Sushi Kanpai to anyone in the area looking for delicious sushi, great service, and a fantastic overall dining experience. Don't miss out on this place!
I had a pleasure dinner through this restaurant, the price was reasonable and everything was perfect.
This place is absolutely amazing spot for sushi they have a nice variety good friendly service and a happy hour the place is scrupulously clean and safe and I can't say enough good things about the sushi they should definitely be on your radar if you are a sushi fan
Not sure where all the good looking sushi pictures came from on google, but the food my husband and I received looked NOTHING like the pictures and was terrible. Food didn't settle well at all, made my husband sick and made my stomach turn all night. Service was horrible! How do you serve a guests' entire meal next to someone that came in and ordered 20 minutes after we did!? And happy hour? I don't see the happy hour pricing... plus you have to pay to park which makes the entire meal a total rip off. Not worth the price friends, seek good sushi elsewhere.
Stopped in for Happy Hour, great sushi, and Goya. Service was cheerful and very well done. If lunch or dinner is even close; I’d highly recommend it.
The paradise roll is a must have. Sushi is always fresh and happy hour has some pretty good deals. Totally recommend this place for anyone looking to have some good sushi and a good time
Sushi was very good as was the miso and tempura! Donkatsu was a little over cooked but still tasty. Presentation was perfect. Service was prompt and cordial. Atmosphere is calm and soothing. Definitely will come back.
I consider myself a sushi connoisseur. I've had sushi every month of my life since I was 6. I used to live in Los Angeles and sushi is plentiful. I've had the worst sushi, and sushi that would make your jaw drop in ecstacy. This sushi restaurant is the best one I have in Washington State, hands down. I indulged in the Wasabi Hamachi and the paradise rolls with a sushi/sashimi mixed platter with fatty tuna nigiri on the side. All this paired with Nigori Cloudy Sake Strawberry- super sweet, creamy and light. My favorite fish is yellowtail aka hamachi, however the real star of tonight's dinner was salmon... their salmon was so fresh, it was light, fresh and buttery- melting in my mouth. The fatty tuna came in second place for sure. The white fish was also good. The rolls were both unique and crafted with perfectly balanced flavors. The Wasabi Hamachi was just a touch spicy, but the hamachi and misago really balanced that out. The paradise was creamy and the coconut sweetness was refreshing and new in the world of sushi. I loved their creativity with flavors and you can tell they care about the quality of the fish, when you watch them fillet the fish at the end of the night. Nothing frozen. Fish served room temp, as it should be. I will be returning to this incredibly authentic venue of Japanese cuisine. Anyone who didn't admire their attention to detail must not have been ordering from here.... its no mistake, this is the freshest and most authentic Japanese sushi in all of washington.
Customer service was on point, and definitely much appreciated. As far as prices goes, I’d say its not cheap, but not pricy either. Its a cute little sushi spot. Would come here again. Everything we ordered, we enjoyed.
This place needs to improve. Yes we called 30 minutes before closing for a pickup order but still the quality of the fish and the rice was very low. Couldn’t even finish it. Ordered the nigiri sample that comes with tuna roll. Had no taste. Rice was dry. Ginger was dry. Don’t go here for sushi.
