Love this place! Great service, excellent food...hot, fresh and so tasty with a very decent portion! I had the traditional breakfast bowl and highly recommend menu pricing was reasonable and affordable!
Attentive service and new menu of reasonably priced comfort food, including gluten free, vegan, and all-day breakfast.
Comfort food goes gourmet! Have had 2 meals here so far - both were delicious and the service was great. Price / Value seems very reasonable. Would highly recommend the Savory French Toast, Poutine, or Loaded Tater Tots! Will definitely be back. Thank you Smugglers Group for another awesome restaurant.
Solid spot for a bite to eat. Some interesting and unique options for a very fair price. I had an exceptional chicken and waffle dish which I’d highly recommend. Our party had some brisket sliders to start which I only wish we had more. The interior is quite nice, too.
All I can say is wow. Amazing food at an even better price. What you get for how much you pay, I am not sure Frank's can be beat. I really like the concept of their menu as it focused around smaller plates that are good for sharing or individual portions. Mac n cheese was killer, the brussell sprouts were perfectly cooked and the toasts were individually delicious. The service was also excellent. They gladly remade my girlfriends caesar as it was very spicy I will be back to try some sliders!
Went for lunch on a Sunday--excellent food and good service.... We enjoyed our meal very much...my husband had the traditional brekkie bowl and I ordered caesar salad and caramelized brussel sprouts. The food was quite delicious and very filling. The only reason I'm not giving Frank's a 5 star rating is because we had to send the sprouts back to be reheated. It's my pet peeve about restaurants - so many of them don't serve food at the temperature it SHOULD be served at . Nonetheless, we will be going back - be aware that on weekends, the main menu is not available until after 3 PM.
Save your money and eat at Denny’s across the street. I ordered the eggs Benedict and they were served with cold hollandaise sauce. When I sent it back to be warmed I was informed that Frank’s does not serve warm hollandaise sauce. Solidified butter mixed with mediocre cheddar cheese is not a great recipe for hollandaise sauce. The presentation was mediocre but the fruit variety was nicely presented on the plate. The tomato basil soup with cheese fingers was unique and enjoyed by a few diners. The menu is eclectic but not overly appealing. Spicey should still be edible and not so hot that you cannot taste the food. If you want a great meal go to the Smuggler’s section of the restaurant. I recommend placing a second buffet section in this space and opening up more seating for Smuggler’s. TasteBud
Came at 8 pm the other night, only 1 other table besides us. Ordered some vegan items and a bottle of wine. Wine wasn’t poured for us, bottle was just left on the table. The fries were blah, fattoush salad had no seasoning, the mushroom toast was okay and the beets were the best thing but probably could have been better. Server was new I’m thinking after noticing a few things but she was nice enough. Probably won’t go back. I miss Tango!
This menu is truly unique. Whats more, the staff are so helpful and friendly. Heidi I hope I spelt it right is particularly fantastic! The Buddha bowl and vegan chilli are a MUST - dine in or take out. I will say the ambiance is warm and classy, but the food is also just as good if you bring it home, or in my case to the office.
The manager was our server and she was lovely! Great service, very helpful and the food is good and well priced. Lots of vegan menu items or dishes that can be made vegan. I highly recommend Frank's on MacLeod!
