Not a good place for service. You better off bringin your car straight to the dealer. I got my car fixed over a month ago with their parts. Next thing I know my engine light comes on again one month later. Did a diagnosis and it turns out that the part they put in went bad. So I brought it back. They told me they have to get the part from the dealer in order to fix the problem again. Then waiting for 3 hours only to find out that they claiming that they can't get a good deal with the dealer. Which makes no sense if they claim they gave been dealing with them for years. So I had to get them to give me a refund. Meanwhile the front desk guy getting rude with me when I asked him questions regarding the whole situation. Can't believe the arrogance.

Ryan the new store manager was great! Explained everything and said I did NOT need new brakes. Honesty and trustworthiness are very important traits and he has them in spades!

Usually I don't write reviews anymore but I had one bad and one excellent experience in the last week getting new tires for two cars. Which led me to write a review for both places. A week ago I had an 8am appointment to replace the tires on my car at Firestone on East Main Street in Stamford. First they tried to double charge me the one time alignment and the lifetime alignment at the same time. After I pointed out that my initial charge was $600 odd dollars (without alignment) and not $1000 odd dollars (including the double charge) they apologized for mistake. I was told it would take 1.5h. Fair enough, if on the long side. In the end it took them 2:45h. The only way it could have taken that long was if they did multiple cars simultaneously. While waiting the front desk was not staffed half the time which led to at least 3 customers walking out after waiting for 10-15min. A handful of customers came in for emissions tests and were told that the software wasn't working today. The people working there were polite apologizing for the delay other than that I had the feeling that the place was either poorly run, understaffed or they overbook appointments. Or a combination of all three. After that hassle I decided not to go back for my husband's car that also needed new tires. Today I went to Town Fair Tire on Main Street in Norwalk, 9am appointment - got the correct price charged and exactly 30min later I was out the door. They have a video monitor of their garage in the waiting room where you can watch the guys working on the cars. While I watched one guy was working on my car the whole time from start to finish hence it took only 30 min and not 2:45h. So, I was very pleased with the whole experience today.

CON: They don’t keep the scheduled appointments but will hold the customer responsible for being there to late, a couple minutes, or too early. I arrived over an hour before I was scheduled, at 7:00am, and was told I should be done by 8:30am; my scheduled appointment was for 8:00am. They did not even start my car until 8:50am. The shop was full of customers by 8:30am, but I was the last person in the waiting area when they finally finished a simple tire replacement; supposedly their specialty, at 11:10am. They also made no attempt to clean the white grease used to help put the tire on the wheels, very unprofessional. PRO: If your schedule is very open and you don’t care about what it may look like, they do sold work. This was my first time at Firestone, and while I will always give something a second chance, I have been around long enough to know when some behavior is normal. I will give Firestone another chance, but it will be another Firestone shop.

Made appointment online and received confirmation email. Called in morning to confirm and they said they didn't have any record of an appointment but that they could take the car as scheduled. Dropped off at lunch and they said it would be done by 5. Went back at 5:30 and they hadn't touch it. No apology. My advice is you find a garage that treats their customers better.
