This pop up park is an example of the effort to create green spaces on the west side of Vancouver to accommodate a pollinator environment friendly to bees, birds and butterflies..with the green space present, it is an invitation for strolling through the park space and settling in on one of the benches..Granville Island is just steps away..
Cute little green space for people and pollinators
Also known as Bumblebee Park. In the summer an old Asian lady can be seen watering the plants. Two large benches in this quaint park with large bumblebees painted on the buildings adjacent. If those bees weren't there this park would not be attractive at all.
This was such a surprise middle of not so beautiful surrounding place but in this little round about dedicated to serving bees & butterflies with flowers the love ..it also serves people with wild seeming freedom like an English garden & there are benches where lovers can whisper sweet nothings & children can run about& all with in the surprise of not ao pretty except here.....
One of my favourite parks in Vancouver, an example of what future parks should strive for. Sustainable, low intervention design and a home for bees and other pollinators!
This is one of the West side's Best kept secrets. It's such a great little park that's full of greenery and off the beaten path.
