Very friendly place to go for mom and pops style food, unfortunately the food can be kind of hit or miss if you stray from the turkey pie path. That said the turkey pies are delicious. Simply the best turkey around. They've got turkey lot pies, hot turkey sandwiches that come with a pile of fries, dressing, gravy, and peas! Super reasonably priced about $10 a for the plate pictured - and their homemade flakies are a must-have.

A St. John's classic for old school take out grub!! Those turkey flips with a side of gravy for dipping are the bomb, and the cream puffs are a tower of deliciousness. You won't go hungry here, buddy. Kid-friendliness: There is no eat-in option, but they have menu items suitable for kids.

The name says it all! Fabulous Foods! Not posh just perfect home-style meals served with warm Newfoundland Hospitality! Fish & Chips, Turkey Pot Pies! Turkey Roll flip /turnover! And oven-fresh baked goods daily! It's all simply FABULOUS!

It was an accidental visit to fabulous Foods. Only to discover the house next door was my home between 1931 and 1942. Brought a tear to my eye. The street is named Merry Meeting Road. And it lived up to its name in spite of the fact it was the firsr 10 yrs of the"Great Depression" I REMEMBER WELL MY FRIENDS IE: Paddy Dempsey' Winston Hunt, John Stuckless, Jack Fifield, My girlfriend who was also 12 years old at the time. Stopped in for supper and picked up a Turkey pie, and a giant flakie. Easy to get distracted by all the pastries and pies on display. Staff are always on hand, very friendly!

Well they used to have good turkey pies, not anymore. They need to put turkey in their turkey pies that's why its called a turkey pie. Too bad, I went to this place for 40 years will not purchase again. The pie was predominately potatoe a marked difference from the past...I was going to return it but too much trouble I just wont buy there again. Service was always good.

It was nearly 20 years since I had tasted the delicious turkey pie that has made this spot famous and fabulous. I was not disappointed. No words can explain how damn good this food tasted. I couldn't leave without 2 cream puffs and a flaky lol Thankfully my kiddo loved the food also and helped me eat the enormous portions! And the staff were fabulous to boot also. All around 10s 10s 10s. This place will be around for another 40 years!! If you haven't had tried their turkey pies you are missing out - it's an 8$ pie people! The food divine prices amazing - head here!!!
