This is a new restaurant that opened. The staff are friendly and the environment is very new, clean, and comfortable. We came here for dine-out vancouver. They were not so busy when we came. Best of luck for the restaurant and hope you have great success!
Service was good but food had highs and lows. The avocado toast with goat cheese and balsamic was pretty good but the salad that came with it was sub par. Additionally there was only one piece of bread with avocado making it a pretty small dish, would have been much better if they tossed the salad and had two pieces of bread. The Sangria was not the best and unfortunately this location doesn't have milk shakes which I like at Fables other location.
Straight across cafe Medina. We definitely went to try and get into cafe Medina to find out that it was sold out. Coming to a surprise here at this restaurant, super friendly staff, quick service, good food, lots of space and contemporary music playing! A solid choice from now on and worth recommending. Does have a weird smell to it, typical diner. Smells kinda old in there.
Came in with some colleagues for a quick bite after work. Happy hour was on so I decided to grab some of the wings as per the waiter's recommendation. Asked him what the portion sizes would be and he said it should be about 8-10 wings/drumsticks. Having been to Wings and other pubs, I assumed the wings would be standard sized and juicy. I was quite mistaken. CAD10 for 6-8 tiny chicken wings as per the photos I took. The plate was small, but the wings, a lot smaller. Food: Wings. Dry, tough, not juicy, but the sauce was good. Wanted to get the burger but after looking at the wing portions, decided against it as there will probably be better burgers around. Price: CAD 10, happy hour prices. Definitely on the high side. Service: Great. The place was slightly busy with one or two wait staff around, and the bartender came to grab our orders. Great guy. Would I recommend? If you have deep pockets, sure. Its a nice location, ample seating, service was good. Food was a let-down however.
A fantastic experience, and they're currently doing a three course meal to allow guests to experience the menu. The waitress was amazing and ensured we were having a great meal throughout the entire night. The restaurant is young as of writing, but it's already proving to be an amazing addition to the Fable restaurant saga
Very nice inside area with multi levels and patios. Unfortunately the patio wasn’t open when I was there but hope to go another time to check it out. Tried a couple happy hour dishes and beers. Nice place to try out if your in the area downtown Vancouver.
We had the pleasure of having our wedding ceremony on Fable's Patio recently we met in the restaurant years before and had the best experience possible working with Ron and his team putting together our dream celebration. We could not recommend Fable enough, they are great to work with, flexible and responsive. As an event space they have many options both on their patio, restaurant or in the basement with its own bar and private dining area. They are affordable with great food and worked hand in hand to make sure our event came off sucessfully without any issues. They went above and beyond for us and we could not be any happier. The food is great, the people are great, the place is great!
It was a bit quiet when we visited Friday 1pm-ish but the food was better than expected. The environment is definitely a bar/pub feel. I don’t think they expect many customers for lunch so it took a while to get our drink and food orders in.
Nice looking place but a bit scattered both in service and food. From requesting basic utensils a couple times, menus, incorrect orders for multiple people it wasn't the most comfortable brunch. No bottomless basic coffee and they don't tell you before giving you a refill. Strange for a place labeled as a diner. Will likely come back sometime in the future to see if they're more put together as the food was fine.
They have brunch menu but don't serve any hot drink other than tea or coffee just black coffee and not latte or cappuccino. Power lift brunch was mediocre, side fruits was not that interesting either. Ham Benny had an strange sour taste. Although the staff were nice, polite and friendly the brunch items that we ordered was not sth that we go for them again.
