I recently had LASIK with Dr. Leong-Sit and cannot say enough how fantastic the experience was. Dr. Leong-Sit has a very down-to-earth approach and takes time and care to explain all of the details to you in a way that is easily understood and genuine, giving ample room and time for questions until you’re completely comfortable. His bedside manner throughout the surgery is incredible! I trust his approach and skill implicitly. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I have to say my experience with the office staff was the exact opposite of the negative reviews left. Kayla, the Surgical Counsellor, is the absolute best! So friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. She was also really easy to get in touch with both through phone and email. I appreciate her approach so much! The receptionist team were friendly and organized, skillfully managing a busy clinic. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Dr. Leong-Sit and his team! Thanks all
My sister-in-law makes an appointment here regularly for her eyes problems. Last time, this clinic didn't accept her appointment because of 5-10 minutes delay and posponed the appointment one month, while we always wait here about 1 hour. If you're that slow, you shouldn't be that strict with customers' delay!
I had LASIK with Dr. Leong-Sit and the results have been amazing! He was very good with explaining exactly what was going to happen prior to and during the procedure and the results have been great so far. Dr. Bakelaar has been great with follow up appointments as well. All other staff have been great as well. Highly recommend!
Dr. Khaliq Kurji did cataract surgery on both my eyes, spaced out two weeks. Whereas before my vision was blurry and the colours not sharp, now my vision has improved drastically. My right eye cataract was really bad and the surgery complicated but Dr. Kurji was able to get it all out. Thank you Dr. Kurji for doing an amazing job and restoring my vision. I highly recommend Dr. Khaliq Kurji to anyone needing cataract surgery
I had a great experience with my surgery. The staff were very quick to respond to any questions, and I felt very comfortable throughout the experience. The doctor was also very nice!
Staff has gone above and beyond to help me after my eye surgery. The team is quick efficient and polite. All my questions have been answered quickly and easily. I had a complication the day of my surgery a few hours later just after the doctors went home and the staff was beyond accomodationg and helpful. Called 811 and they confirmed. Showed up the next morning and was seen promptly with news that was much better then expected. All in all very helpful and the doctors are highly skilled!
We have a surgery scheduled with Dr. Kurji. His surgery coordinator Cheryl is impossible to reach at for any questions/concerns that you might have. The receptionist will tell you to leave a voicemail, and you best believe she will not call you back. I called again because my dad really needs to start his medications and we cannot until we talk to doctor or someone in the clinic. The receptionist brings another surgery team member, Samantha, who is literally so rude. She will hang up and throw in attitude to do what is her job. If you cannot, why bother being in a patient care service and risking people's lives by not providing proper advice instead hanging up or re-directing to doctor. My uncle called in the next time and they throw in attitude by asking patients to "cancel appointment if you have questions." These are legitimate medication schedule questions. I am myself a pharmacist and needed advice from specialist. This is simply not how you patient care.
This is an over due review. My husband, myself & my mom have been patients at this clinic over years and despite the impatient and rude staff, we continued because the drs are excellent. They even forgot to notify us they cancelled our app'ts during pandemic and never called us back to reschedule as they said they would. But still my husband was referred back to them April 2021 as he had new cancer dx with eye symptoms. I called twice over several months to confirm receipt of referral and begged them to bring the referral to Dr's attention. A referral was made to a different dr and clinic in Aug. who saw him in less than a week. This clinic finally called in Sept 2021. The physicians are excellent and there are good people there. But there are equally excellent drs. elsewhere whose office can consistently manage their caseload with efficiency and compassion.
Had lasik on both eyes a week ago. I now see better than 20/20. Surgery went perfect. The doctor and his team were terrific and walked me through every step. I couldn't ask for a better experience. Thank you to the whole team at Eye Q Premium Laser. Ps. The front staff was excellent, focused on their jobs, professional and they were diligent with covid measures. I see negative reviews and I disagree with them. Do not let these negative reviews deter you from using Eye Q. I'm a critic at heart and I'm really happy with the treatment I got. They ate great.
Very impressed. This is a no pressure establishment. On the day of my surgery, I paid in full to have both eyes done. Dr. Leong-Sit, the refractive surgeon, met with me after I'd paid and right before my surgery for one last check before surgery. He advised me of all the risks, including that given my prescription, if I were to do both eyes, I would guarantee need reading glasses by age 40 or earlier. He had me really second guessing the idea of getting surgery just to ensure I was evaluating the risks and comfortable with my decision. He offered me a few solutions: 1. A full refund of my money so I could take more time to think about it. This is pretty generous as they only do surgeries on Thursday's and are quite busy, so I would be taking up a fairly expensive surgery spot for them. 2. We do one eye and leave the other eye untreated. In this scenario, called monovision, your treated eye learns to see for distance, and your untreated eye is used for reading. He also offered me a full refund of money so I could think about it for a while, or try monovision with contact lenses to see how I liked it. I ended up deciding to do option 2 that day, and have the surgery one in one eye. They refunded me half my money so it was only the price of one eye. The surgery went well and it was surprisingly seamless to adapt to monovision. Anyways, I'm most impressed with how little they pressured me to go ahead with surgery and offering me my money back even when my surgery was only minutes out.
