Alberta Eye MD was founded by our doctors in February 2013. Our vision was, and is, to create a centre of excellence in ophthalmic care. Alberta Eye MD is a multiple MD facility offering a broad scope of eye services including cataract, glaucoma, cornea, pediatric, retina, and other eye-related diseases.

We are proud to have a state of the art facility with the most cutting-edge diagnostic testing and treatments in Northern Alberta. This includes medical treatments and surgical procedures to address ocular conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, pediatric and adult strabismus, as well as corneal and retinal diseases.

We aim to provide the best quality of care for our patients with a desire to maximize efficiency and utilization of health care resources.

I don't know why there is so much negative reviews, I had great experience at this location. Arrive 5 min before my appointment was set and was welcomed by the assistant to proceed with checks within less than 5 mins. After all checks was given a room where I waited hardly 20-30 min, but this time was necessary since medication had to reach half life. Dr. Kassiri walked in and did excellent assessment and outlined future steps. Looking forward to come back.

5 star review for management Rabina and technicians! My parents have been coming here and before with the old manager the older lady the clinic was not the best experience for long wait times and rude front desk ladies I forget their names. I'm very happy to see the new staff and management changes with a new clinic. Night and day difference. It feels like a properly run clinic with these new team leaders and staff.

Arrived 10 minutes early for appointment that Alberta Eye MD requested / set up for my wife. Currently 45 minutes past appointment with still other patients ahead of her.  This is an unacceptable, and based on other reviews, all too common practice here.  I believe a patient's time is valuable too and there needs to be a system implemented where doctors and other medical professionals are held accountable for this sort of behaviour in the form of fines paid directly to the impacted patient based on delays greater than 30 minutes. Hold a doctor to the same standard they hold a patient.

Dr.Kassiri and all the staff and nurses, what can I say unbelievable, fantastic, friendly,etc. Had my first cataract surgery on the 1stof Sept,after 60 years of wearing glasses just having 1 eye done so far I can't wait for the second eye to be done. Back to the awesome people they made me feel so comfortable and at ease I fell asleep on the table and Dr.  Kassiri would gently wake me up. The entire experience was very eye opening and I don't mean physically . If you have any doubts or fears talk to your Dr. Get a referral to this place you in my opinion this is the only way and place to go. I wish they had a 10 star rating system.

Dr Sandhu is professional, genuine, kind, and confident. I’m grateful for my experience with this Doctor and clinic.  Bring a book or meaningful activity to help pass the time while you wait!

Amazing experience ... the staff are helpful ...the doctors are knowledgeable and friendly and will spent time with you... the parking lot could use some work.

Dr. Dorey and his team were amazing.  I was referred here because of cataracts.  Testing went smoothly and I chose an upgraded lens as I have had VERY bad eyesight most of my life, requiring hard contacts for the past 48 years. Pre and post surgery information was well presented and all my questions addressed. Surgery went well and I was able to see immediately!  Great work Dr. Dorey!  I'm loving my glasses -free life!!!

I had cataract surgery January 17 2022 by Dr Kassiri. The procedure was flawless. Both eyes took about half an hour. My vision has not been this good in years. I did purchase the better lenses and they are worth it. Danielle who booked the appointment was amazing. I ask lots of questions and she answered them all and took my apprehension away.  February 7 2022 I had a follow up with Dr Mohamed. She is an amazing optometrist. She took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. My vision now is 20/20. I am totally amazed.  If you have cataracts go get them fixed. I highly recommend Alberta Eye MD.

Honestly amazing staff, everyone is so kind and friendly. I always have great experiences seeing my usual doctor. Everyone knows how to cheer you up and they make the appointment easygoing and don’t stress you out at all! They are all very patient with you, and make you laugh when you need one. Even with Covid, they made the experience good! I have to come here for the rest of my life, but the staff make it enjoyable and all and all they make you feel comfortable! Honestly so glad that they are patient, and kind.

My experiences here have been very positive. The staff are friendly and very professional and polite
