$12 for a corned beef sandwich, which is just microwaved corn beef, on store bought rye bread. Overall taste was okay, but value is absolutely terrible. This should be a $5 sandwich at most. Unfortunately, I won’t go back, and would not recommend to any of my friends.
Was excited to see the sign outside say Montreal cornded beef sandwich, sadly it was microwaved, the meat was tough sandwich was small. I literally took 2 bites and threw it out. Hand washing by server was not done. Honestly don't like to leave this type of review but people need to know.
Recently a friend had asked on Facebook if anyone knew of a place that sold "Dill Pickle Soup" in the Barrie area. I live across the country in British Columbia but made it my mission to find it for her. Through a bit of searching I discovered Eva's Deli. Eva was on board to make this happen! The order was received, as fresh as if my friend was at the deli. She mentioned the Mason jar of soup was still warm and the potato pancakes and pierogies were freshly made. Once out of her food coma ... she said everything was delicious. Thank you to Eva and her team for helping me make her smile!
Lovely lady behind the counter. I had a salami on rye. The salami was flavourful but overall underwhelming. The pickle was a straight Bic jar and not the Kosher deli kind. A 1 inch thick salami with mustard and a can will run you under $10 I would try the corned beef as my coworker thought it was very good. Again the lady was very nice who served us.
The lady dropped my perogies on the floor right in front of me, then tried to sell them to me. If that's how they handle food while the customer is present, imagine what happens behind the counter. Just plain gross.
I had Eva's Plater. it was so delicious and finger licking good! 5 stars for service as well!
Staff was extremely friendly but the sandwich was overpriced for being grocery store rye bread and microwaved corned beef. Might try againFood: 2/5
Located in the south end of Barrie, Eva's Deli offers up a pretty good lunch for a reasonable price. I enjoyed my two cabbage rolls and five pierogies with sour cream. For $11.30, you received a decent sized portion of the above. The service was friendly and pretty quick. Highly recommended.
If you like paying $13 for a small Ruben sandwich made with microwaved meat on rye bread that hasn't been toastedaka SOGGY AS HELL then this is the place for you. Was hoping to support local, but I won't be back here.
Had an order of pierogies that were decent, and a schnitzel on a bun that wasn't great. People working there weren't wearing masks. Disappointing overall.
