My husband, 5 month old baby drove here for 7 hrs. The hotel itself is nice, but show...

It's comparable to a lot of BBQ places, but nothing in particular stood out. The prices are a little high for what you get.
Furthermore, the interior is completely gutted. No tables, no chairs. They say it's due to construction, however, there's still plenty of room to put some temporary seating.
My biggest complaint would be there themeing. I'm not sure what their connection to firefighting actually is, perhaps it's just a gimmick, but they don't appear to actually care about first responders.
I've gone in twice in uniform, and both times they didn't apply their supposed 10% discount. When I asked, the cashier shrugged and said, "sorry I forgot". No attempt to offer a 30% discount on my next purchase, no apology, nothing. So much for that.

O you must get yours before they sell out, it was very delicious, fresh and I can't wait to get more. It was closing as I arrived but the cook Mr. Zac hook me up and it was so tasty. 5 Stars on the smoke chicken.

We had the chicken, tri-tip, and ribs, with mac and cheese, broccoli salad, and baked beans for sides. It was all excellent, but the ribs and tri-tip were the most delicious - melt-in-your-mouth and full of flavor. The chicken was okay, soft and tender but not very flavorful. The sides were yummy and had plenty of flavor, my kids loved them. There were three sauces available, a barbecue, a Carolina mustard, and a blackberry BBQ sauce. All three exceeded my expectations, and tasted good on all of the meats. Overall wait time was acceptable, especially considering the expected opening-day kinks and mix-ups. Pricing was very good, I fed myself and my two boys for about $25. The people running it seem to be very nice and friendly, which is also a plus.
Cons: portion sizes are small, so double up if you have a big appetite. Also, there is no place to sit while you wait for your order, hopefully that will change soon as they get up and running. If there had been a comfortable place to sit and maybe some music, I would have given five stars.
Overall I am very happy with this new locally-owned restaurant, and would recommend. We will definitely be adding it to our list of favorite places to eat.

The two stars are for the sweet lady taking orders and how fast it was done. I ordered the 4 meat combo. The chicken was raw and gross. The ribs were ok along with the tri tip and brisket. Not seasoned well at all. Two of the three bbq sauces tasted rotten. I got 2 cups of the original and that ran out so she filled it up and that's the only edible one i got. Now the mac n cheese and potato salad. Potato salad was the worst i have ever had. Id buy a bucked of pre made from walmart before ever touching that stuff again. Mac n cheese once again no flavor but edible after salt n pepper. Overall disappointed.. Sorry guys but yall need to step up ur game with flavor profiles and consistency.. REFRIGERATE YOUR SAUCE

Best food you can find made by the best people you can find. If you're anywhere near Crescent City looking for a bite to eat, you can't miss this restaurant. Delicious enough to make grown men cry.
