Redwood Hotel Casino

My husband, 5 month old baby drove here for 7 hrs. The hotel itself is nice, but shower had 4 hairs in it. The pool which our baby loves to swim we got suits on went down to pool it was way to cold and had air conditioning running. We had went to there restaurant had couple drinks and appetizer waitress Victoria very nice. We paid her as she was getting off next bartender/ waitress never not once came over to us. We left went to pool way to cold. We went back to restaurant to order take out. The waitress and host were so rude. We were checked in for 2 nights we checked out had to find somewhere else. Huge waste of time. Id find somewhere else to spend your money.We talked to the gm who would not compensate us in anyway. She was very rude at the least to say. I will be calling cooperate office. Were not wanting anything but for there boss to have a chat with them.

The other reviews of this place did not save us from making an expensive ($100 for three entrees, two drinks, two appetizers) and thoroughly unpleasant mistake. Here is what you need to know about the Abalone Bar and Grill, the restaurant at the Redwood Hotel and Casino: First, if you can avoid staying in this area, do so. There was nowhere else in easy reach that looked even remotely worth eating at, the casino is a vision of cacophonous kitsch hell, and there is nothing else of note here. Second, if you must stay here, bring your own food. Third, the Holiday Inn Express next door (not owned or operated by Holiday Inn) sells frozen meals, such as White Castle burgers. It won't be a good meal, but this is preferable to spending $100(!!) on terrible food. Fourth, if you ignore all the above and end up eating at Abalone Bar and Grill, choose the deep-fried or obviously pre-frozen options such as the Coconut Shrimp appetizer (boring but not disastrous) or french fries. And you have been warned: the food is so bad that I started to worry about hygiene, not just flavor, since there was such an evident lack of care involved in food preparation. The beer was quite good to be fair.

The rooms are nice but the restaurant and bar is only open 5pm-9pm. It has a very small casino open later but without any way to get a drink. Very strange. There is also no where to get lunch around it but a gas station.

Review for the Abalone Bar and Grill specifically. What a train wreck. They had a strawberry vodka gimlet on their special drinks board - not only did the server not know what one was, but it turned out to be vodka with strawberry Hawaiian Punch or possibly even Kool-Aid. Why even make it a special if it's something you really can't make? Stale-ish bread basket came out totally cold in the middle, slightly warm on the outside. Ribeye steak was extremely fatty, way undercooked. Everything was just bad, and it was expensive. Please get it together.
