Great fish and chips! The clam chowder served in a bread bowl can't be beat. Some times there is a bit of a wait but it is well worth it. The staff is friendly and make you feel at home. Family style seating overlooks the harbor and offers a spectacular view at sunset. The chart room is one of our favorite local haunts!

Food here is wonderful! I don't eat seafood and they had a pretty good selection of non seafood options. Also, the blackberry cobbler was out of this world 😍

Awesome seafood spot where the prices aren't too high and the clam chowder is fabulous. The only reason it's a four instead of a five is because unless you want salad (booooring) there are NO GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS! So beware of that if you've got a poor soul in your group that's gluten intolerant.

Just wow! I have found a new seafood favorite! The fish and chips were fantastic, not too oily great flavor, and crisp. The clam chowder was also very good.

"Waterfront seafood stop for clam chowder, fish 'n' chips & views of sea lions through large windows." We have driven for two days from San Francisco to Crescent City along CA-1 and were hankering for some top-notch sea food, thus we stopped in the Chart Room as it had many great reviews. My partner ordered 'fresh Cod' and I 'Clam Chowder' and 'three piece sampler'. The meal is not inexpensive and one has to expect that a sea food restaurant on the Pacific coast would have great sea food.. NOT ! The 'fresh Cod' was anything but, tasteless and tough. The Clam Chowder had NOT one single clam within it or that had ever even swam through it. Fries were limp, and the ketchup bottle when opened exploded ketchup all over face, arms, and clothing. The decor one would have expected would have been 'sea-fare' of some sort, instead there are literally a ton of junk hanging from the rafters; very little to identify the place as a 'Sea Food Restaurant'. To the waitress's credit she did cancel out one full meal when told of the problems. But it was disappointing and we had to wait until getting to Reno Nevada before actually getting a 'great sea-food' meal. {At the Morgan's Lobster Shack & Fish Market}.
