Been going to Empress since the 70s with my parents. Same great bread and cakes all those years. Cant go wrong.
The cake was sub par, so was the customer service. I should’ve just gone to safeway. That means safeway’s mass produced cakes are better. But I only tried their chocolate butter cream cake. It wasnt too expensive. But i feel this place deserves a 1 star rating. My opinion. Its a free country.
Old school, European sourdough rye and other baked goods, but, oh, my, the bread. The bread. A legacy Edmonton establishment.
Best bakery in the city! Have been going here for 40 yrs at least! Buns, Double baked rye is THE best....and the Bismarks and all the sweets! Yum!! And they remember you which is special in this day and age!
The pastries... Oh my! Always fresh bread and buns, so good!
Super amazing and friendly staff however the highlight was their donuts. Hands down, amazing.
Delicious treats and fresh bread. Great customer service. And one of the best bakeries in town. Go early to get your baking otherwise it may be sold out.
