Story

The vacuum side of the store has expanded in 30 years.
Elmira Vacuum carries filters and bags for a number of other brands, and does quotes and installations of central vacuum systems.

While it’s not viable to fix small appliances – you can buy a new toaster for less than it would cost to fix one – repairing a vacuum is still worth the customer’s while. Repairs and maintenance are done on-site, and every new vacuum leaves the store ready to go, with no assembly required.

Took my Dyson in not working properly... less than 24hrs FIXED and CLEANED... Best service EVER
Went in to see about fixing my central vac power head because it didn't want to pick up all the little fuzzes anymore. They opened it up and discovered the belt was stretched. I asked to also change out the roller, just to make sure as it was 12 years old. Got it home, and it works like brand new. My carpets look brand new, and all the fuzzes are gone! What I liked was their want to keep my costs down. I love that my power head works like brand new after paying for repairs that totaled about 1/3 the cost of a brand new power head. Very kind service people, as always, when I have had service there.
Incredible service!! You won't find a better local store to take care of your vacuum needs. I've been buying and getting service from Steve for almost 18 years now. Super honest, and incredibly knowledgeable. Can't say enough.
I had been looking on and off for an odd shaped floor attachment for a Honeywell Central Vac without success. Steve was recommended to me and when we spoke he knew immediately what I was looking for, who the manufacturer was something the distributor didn't even know, and had the attachment in stock. Three days later it had been shipped and was in my hands. My search will be much quicker the next time I need something. Many thanks, Steve.
I had my vacuum serviced for the first time after owning it for four years. They cleaned and serviced the powerhead and the canister. I noticed a definite increase in suction power after their service. I will be back as long as I live in Elmira.

I convinced my daughter to take her vacuum here to be looked at. I do not think the man we dealt with is the owner. When i took my vacuum in a while back he plugged it in and knew exactly what was wrong with it and told me what my options were. The man we dealt with the other day only wanted us to leave it and get charged to do so. Not very good customer service and we had to travel out of our way to go there
Excellent service, helpful staff, great options and they service all the vacuums they sell just as advertised!
