Great little spot to hang with friends and get some good food and drinks. My husband loves the grilled cheese and bacon with tater tots. It sounds weird, but the non-buttered bread made it perfect. I stole a couple tots and they were amazing! I had the crab cake appetizer and the half Greek salad. Super filling and delicious all around. I like the relaxed attitude and classy food. Perfect for a night with coworkers or friends.

I've never been disappointed with the food here. And the tater tots are an easy munch option. It can get pretty busy during the lunch hour, so be sure to get there earlier if you're trying to beat the crowd!

Great atmosphere and drinks. Great food? Not so much. We stopped in with another couple for a bite to eat on very busy Saturday night. We were seated within 20 minutes—they don’t take reservations. There’s a long bar that lines the side of one wall with smallish tables lined up on the other and in front. Service was pretty good considering how busy the place was. We all tried the very tasty crab cakes as a starter. The main dishes were just so-so and too salty. I tried the sloppy-joe and it tasted like it had been sitting on the stove too long (savvy readers will agree that I did not choose wisely and should have expected it). The fries were good. My friend could only take 2 bites of her tomato soup—she said it was terrible. I recommend coming to Eli’s for a drink and crab cakes and going elsewhere for a real meal.

Eli’s has the feel of a Hell’s Kitchen bar, right in MPLS. Their unique takes on hot dogs are incredible, and you get 2 with every order! Try the nachos if you’re hungry; keep the craft beers and cocktails flowing. It’s a smaller unique spot that is great for anyone whenever you’re hungry.
